MILD (Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dream) is just an induction method to have DILD (Dream Initiated Lucid Dream). I would recommend trying DEILD (Dream Exit Induced Lucid Dream). I have most success with that.

There is nothing unsafe about WILD. It is just as safe as it is any kind of sleep. You have to fall asleep to have lucid dream of any kind. WILD just means that you maintain awareness throughout the wake-to-sleep process. It's important to note that you may or may not experience sleep paralysis and it is not a requirement to have a WILD experience. I had few without consciously going through sleep paralysis. Also Unlike most people's horror stories of sleep paralysis experiences I had never ever experienced anything scary. I sometimes hear sound as if someone else is in the room much like how it used to be before my significant other passed away. Sometimes it can be eerie, but I never ever had a scary sleep paralysis. I would advise against integrating the notion sleep paralysis may be scary.
