Oh that is very common.
We actually get lucid during nightmares because the fear factor makes us more aware, so it isn't actually that you are having lucid nightmares, but getting lucid during them.
In my opinion, if you get out of a nightmare too quickly it will more often than not just be a waste of time, because it may happen again.
What I would do is one of three things.
1. Fight the nightmare, if it isn't something psychological. Know it is your dream and that you are far above any nightmare, for anything that goes within your mind is a part of yourself and there should be no reason for you to be afraid of it.
2. Ask the dream what does the nightmare mean. Another thing that happens is that, if its a reocurring dream you are basically been shown a dream where you need to learn something. I mean if you are already lucid but still get the same thign why not ask directly what it means to stop it once and for all?
3. Who cares about the nightmare? You are in a dream and can do anything you want and can imagine, why not just fly away to a more peaceful place or teleport or what not? Just do something else and ignore the nightmare.
