Thread: Strange lucid (i think) dream

Please be patient with me as this is my very first post also, please let me know if this is the wrong place for this.

Let me preface with I have always been different. Even at a young age my Grandma (my great grandmother) told me that I was different than others and that made me more special. Well, I have obviously seen spirits that sort of thing but this is ENTIRELY different.

Let me start at the beginning and I will try my best to make this short. My Grandma was 82 when I was born and I lost her when I was 10. In those years she ALWAYS told me about our family. Her parents and so forth. She gave me a book and told me to put it up and keep it safe and said it was our Houston family tree book.
At the age of 15 I started doing ancestry work on my family to go back further than what the book had. My 5th great granddad was born in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Go back two more generations and my 7th great granddad was born in Houston Scotland.

About 4 months ago I began to have a very strong pull to go to Scotland. I've always said I wanted to go there since I was a child for ancestry sake but nothing more than that.

A month ago there was this song that popped in my head out of nowhere and I can't get the song to STOP! Even while I am typing right now I hear it being sung! So, I thought to myself this morning that I would find out what the song was and then I'd listen to it then I could get it out of my head as I have heard others say. I initially recognized the tune but didn't think anything else about it until this morning because I had reached my limit with it. It got to the point where I covered my ears, closed my eyes and let out a good scream. Which of course didn't work!!

After thinking hard I remembered where I heard the tune from. A show from 3 years ago and it was only played for 5 minutes in that show maybe less. When I found it I decided that since I had a moment of quiet I would listen to it. I did just that and got really freaked out afterwards (The song starts out very soft and then about 18 seconds into it they begin to sing then around 1:33 into the song these drums merge with the singing). When the singing began I was moving over what appeared to be water and the water was moving about in small waves like a storm was beginning and it was a little dark and the edges of my view was black but I could still see the water. Only the middle was visible. Then, all of a sudden I am looking at a young woman on a hillside looking out into a field. She appeared to be about 5'6" or so. She had long deep auburn curly hair that was pulled back halfway and wearing a dark green dress from the 15th Century. I also noticed she had a tartan on her like a cloak that was fastened with a brooch and it appeared to be a clan crest so that told me she was Scottish.

This "dream" or whatever it is labeled is growing more intense as I’m having this happen every night. The "scene" I find myself in has changed and is more detailed. I had no idea it was winter solstice and about 2:30 or 3 AM I started mentally hearing myself say to turn the song on. I put my headphones in and turned it on. I decided to put it on repeat so that there wouldn't be any interruptions if something did happen. I laid down on my couch, placed my headphones in my ears and closed my eyes exactly when it began. Everything was black naturally, then all of a sudden I was at the same hillside but I was at the bottom of it this time. I look and see the same woman wearing the exact same thing but this time I looked down to see I was wearing a very nice 15th century a midnight blue dress with a tartan cloak fastened by a clan crest brooch. It looked very expensive. (After researching I finally found out I was wearing Clan Douglas tartan) I tilted my head looking at her, trying to figure it all out but she just stared at me stoically I might add and didn't move.

At that point I noticed there was a fog in the woods that were to my left and I noticed there was some movement. I looked back at her and she was staring at me. Then I felt that we weren't alone anymore. She looked towards the woods (her right) and as clear as crystal a man walked out. He was dressed in clothing from the same century as the woman and myself. We just stared at each other. I can tell you EVERY detail about the man! He was about 6'4" dark black hair and his eyes were the same color as whiskey. I did notice that his tartan was a different color though. I quickly looked back at the woman and she gives me a very sweet and small smile, nods her head to me and then she nods her head in the direction of the woods. I took that as she was telling me to go to this man that was now at the edge of the woods. When the drums kicked in about halfway through the song we ran toward each other and he picked me up and held me and um... then... we kissed and yes that... (I am very "modest" about those things LOL) it felt like a few minutes had gone by (the song was still playing and I had no clue if it started over or not because I had put it on repeat as I said above) then he stood up reaching his hand out and assisted me up. When I looked up at him he looked deep into my eyes and had the most heart breaking look on his face.

Then without warning I'm sliding away from him and we both reach our hands out to one another while he still has the heartbroken look on his face. I find myself screaming no for some strange reason. I collapse on the ground ending up on my hip crying looking towards the misty trees and he's still standing there. Then he gives me a very small but sad smile. He then turns into the woods and walks away. When I look to my right the woman is gone. I don't know how long I sat on the ground crying. Then I woke up!

I honestly really tried to read this because it sounds like a fun story.. but it's so dense and I'm a bit sleepy. Can you please edit it and put some paragraphs in there? I'll try again I promise. The world is a better place with more paragraphs

I was sleepy too when I posted it! I appreciate the grammar criticism because I’m usually on top of my game with that stuff!
