Question Wish fulfillment without lucid dreaming?

      Hi to everyone at Dreamviews!

I'm asking because last evening I had a mental breakdown. Lucid dreaming is making me suicidal lately.
It might not be the best idea to discuss personal issues here and I'm not sure at all if this thread is even in the right section of the forum, but I need to ask.

Is there a comparable and alternative method of real wish fulfillment (and/or self-realization) similar or analogical to that of lucid dreaming? Is it equally confirmed, learnable and harmless?

Any answer will be better than no answer, whatever you know.

I asked the same question on Quora but the Quora version is much more compact and more ambiguous and I'm not sure I'll find good answers there, but here's a link in case anyone wants in on it: https://www.quora.com/Can-I-have-wis...lucid-dreaming

Thanks in advance for any help, you guys are the best.

Well, you can always just do visualization. It is more direct and there is no wait time, but most find it difficult for it to be as immersive as lucid dreams

Sensei, indeed I considered visualization very seriously because my dream life was bland and basically nonexistent before discovering lucid dreaming, so I just assumed that it would be the same with visualization, if I just take it seriously it will become as rich as my current dream life. But this is just an assumption based on analogy and it might turn out wrong, that's why I'm looking for more possibilities.

I also encourage you use visualisation.

You can find Sivason's Dream Yoga course here on Dreamviews that can help you with visualization both for within dreams and in waking life.

When visualizing or doing active imagination, do not worry about things being so vivid. It doesn't matter. When you remember memories, notice how they may be both vivid or not vivid at all. Yet, the essence of the moment is there. So do the same, don't focus on details, focus on details. Play around.

At the end of the day we live in the physical plane so that's where you need to find fulfillment. Dreams and visualisation are valuable states but they will not fulfill you if you do not enrich your physical life. But you'll succeed

      Never mind again.

I'm back from a huge success with DEILD last night. If I manage to keep it up, maybe it'll mean I've finally discovered my own secret to frequent lucid dreams that doesn't involve constantly battling myself. I'm not suicidal anymore, I feel awesome and I hope this will continue.

Strangely enough, in the back of my mind I've known that WILD would be my key to success for over a year now. Guess I finally found out why so.

Again, thanks for everyone's support. You're all wonderful.
