      lonewolf's Lucid progress journal

For me, writing down my progress and experiments is this best way to progress in my journey.

I will write a daily progress report on this thread on How my practice is going.

      Goal
      ------

      - Become Proficient in WILD method (ability to Enter into a lucid dream at least 3 times a week)

-Become Proficient in DEILD method (using it as a plan B for when a lucid dream fades)

-Ability to Stabilize a dream and maintain clarity of it.

      -Maintain/experiment different levels of awareness
      ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From there, there are so many different experiments I cant wait to try! Best believe once I gain my stripes, I'll be giving back to this community that I've been a part of for so long.

Feel free to comment with comments or questions as the days roll along.

      Thanks for your output!

      6/29/18 (Night)

Tonight is all about building the foundation for this practice. I'm going to keep the step by step simple and just focus on gathering experience, since lucid dreaming seems to be all about subtleties.

      Method
      ---------
      1) Meditate before bed. (while also focusing on mantra)

      2)Wbtb at around 5am

3)Meditate (Focus is on relaxing and setting intention)

      4)Attempt WILD

This will be my main method that I will focus on at least 6 out of 7 days of week. I will most likely build on it as I gather experience.
Right now, I'm thinking of all the dream characters I'm going to be messing with onnce I set foot in my inner world. Going to fit right in and make a place of my own.

      Will post results tomorrow.

Hello everyone. Welcome to my world we call earth. Enjoy your stay

      Results:

No lucid dreams. However there is a few things I want to note. One is laziness, another is distracting emotions and thoughts.

When I woke up, I went to meditate with the intention to sit up on my bed. I ended up deciding to lay down .

This caused me to lose a bit more concentration.

But the main barrier that I will learn to get past is the lack of focus and fear of failure.

I'm sure a lot of us have experienced this feeling in this endeavor. Over excitement mixed overthinking. I believe this is the stopping block for a lot of people, at least it was for me when I practiced all these years.

Solution: Keep persistent in the practice and cultivate focused intention. Thanks only solution is to keep focus and stick with the plan. No switching up method or technique. Just stick with plan. Stay the course.

      I will be back tonight.

      Last night's result:

No Lucid dream last night. However I did take not of something interesting.

For me at least, I seem to get a lot of dreams depending on how "energetic" I am so, so to speak.

Last night I was really realing over an ex(tmi) and just those energies alone allowed me to have about 4 or 5 dreams last night.

Gonna try and redirect whatever strong energies I feel into my WILD endeavers.
There's this saying " where the mind goes, energy flows"

      Tonight's goal:
      -Same as before
      -stabilize dream if/when lucid

Interesting stuff last night. No lucid dreams, but it seems like something very interesting is happening.

Have you ever hear of the old adage that when you look into the darkness long enough, the darkness begins to look back?

Well that's like that with my dreams. It seems like something is being setup.
One thing I can definitely note is an increased awareness.

Just last night I had about 6 dreams.

One thing I want to note, and I want to see if anyone can relate to, is the idea of choosing to respond to a situation rather than reacting. Reacting being to work on auto pilot, and responding being to consciously make a decision despite whatever you're currently feeling.

I'm not going to go into detailed on what happened, but irl, there was a very emotionaly charged situation that I usually react to, but I instead chose to respond. I didn't do anything in particular, just chose to not play out the same situation as I always did.
That made the emotion increase for a while, but then it subsided into a very energetic feeling.

Anyways, when I woke up, I had remembered more dreams at once than I ever had in a couple of months.

It was really scary to respond differently than what my body was telling me, but I imagine that is exactly how it's going to be like when I become a Lucid dream pro. Especially with WILD. I'm going to have to embrace all those intense feelings and visuals that comes with the transition.

      I will continue.

      Last night's results:
      Semi success!

I go to sleep around 11, and wake up again around 5am. The alarm is use is this Android app called "Alarmy" and let me tell you, it gets you awake. This alarm doesn't turn off unless you do the task it requires.

So as soon as I do this task, I meditate, counting to a 100 and then inlay down to attempt WILD.
one thing I do want to note is that I felt more relaxed during this session than I ever do even while meditating regularly.

I digress. I began to feel vibrations and get to points where I feel like I could become lucid, but did not actually get that point.

However! After going to lay down after the attempt, I had a dream where I realized I was dreaming. But once I made that realization, I woke back up.

      Tonight's goal:

Learn from today's attempt and build upon it!
