I have just come back across the threshold from fairly strong SSILD lucidity. I went to bed with the intention of going for a WILD but when the time came and I began that protocol, I knew it was not going to work. I was feeling too sleepy and there was not enough time for a prolonged WBTB.

So I switched to SSILD. Even then, my concentration was weak....particularly in the sight and hearing portions of the cycle. I remembered this discussion and concentrated most strongly on my body again. I got through four sloppy cycles that way and let myself fall asleep.....into strong and prolonged lucidity (after one FA) that was, however, somewhat passive in nature. Usually I get a sense of calm concentration when I listen for the silence and a sense of expansiveness when I look for the space behind my closed eyes......I think they are all important for a most complete lucid experience......but I have learned to take what is there for the taking.

Since it is Saturday morning, I'll spend some time in the studio in the pre-dawn darkness and then go back to bed and see about that WILD.
