Yesterday i had a LD, the first in a very long time and the first in wich i had at least a very bit of control over it. Well, in that dream i went into my kitchen and grabbed a biscuit, because everybody says food in LD are better than in reality. Then i took i bite out of it, but it didn't have any taste, nothing. Why is this? |

I'm not sure who this "everybody" you mention is, Adrez, but they might be mistaken, as taste is one of the things that doesn't work too well in LD's. |

Dreaming is always about your expectation. If you expect it to taste good it will, if you expect it to taste bad it will, if you expect sh!t to taste like watermelon it will. If your expectation was that it was a dream biscuit wasn't real I would expect it not to have any flavor, and then it has no flavor. That is my experience. |

Total LDs (some very brief) = 2004: 4 * 2005: 18 * 2006: 16 * 2007: 2 * 2008: 0 * 2009: 0 * 2010: 1 * 2011: 12 * 2012: 3 * 2013: 1 * 2014: 6 * 2015: 1 * 2016: 0 * 2017: 18 * 2018: 3 * 2019: 0 (so far)
Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives. ~William Dement
If I want to taste something in a lucid dream, I try to do so by practicing it in my all-day awareness. Although sometimes I'm extraordinarily sensitive to what I feel, smell or taste in a dream, most of the time regardless if it is a lucid or not, I don't always taste anything or the food would just like cardboard. Everyone is different. |

I'll try, but i tought just by thinking "This is gonna taste good" it would do |

Was that a British biscuit or an American biscuit? What the British call biscuits are what Americans call cookies. Not sure what the British word is for what Americans call biscuits. Anyone know? A scone would be similar to an American biscuit, but not quite the same. |

Yeah, I had a Lucid food dream this afternoon about eating a raw oyster and drinking soda... In this dream, the raw oysters had a sweet lemon taste to them. They were just slimy and chewy but, other than that they didn't have much taste in the dream. Slimy yet satisfying. |
