make a habbit of doing RC's and keep a dream journal. Vitamin B6 might help. And go burn this mp3 (made by phoenelai here) onto a CD and listen to it while you sleep. Try some dream techniques like WILD, VILD, TILD, or QILD. That should do it. But what do I know? I haven't had a lucid dream yet either. But that's because I don't do anything that I just listed. I mostly just hope that I have a lucid dream.

But now I'm getting into RC's and I am actually going to try that CD thing tonight.

Sometimes you have to deserve things. Sometimes you need to be worthy.

Yes, it seems that a lot of low characters are able to do well with Lucid Dreaming, but for them Lucid Dreaming is nothing more than a sleeping video game, or sleeping masturbation. That is not what you want and so it is not what you are getting.

As you want a higher standard of Lucid Dreaming, so you will have to put that much more effort into it. But you can't simply boss around the Higher Dream Mind.

You can make all of the suggestions you want to the Higher Dream Mind, but then you need to monitor the dreams you do have and discern what guidance you do receive.

Your dreams are telling you why you are not having Lucid Dreams. You only need to pay attention to them, and then do what they are asking you to do.

You can't skip steps. There may be several levels to go, and each level requires you to pass through a particular Dream Motif -- a Test within your Dreams that require the correct choices, or the correct responses.

So, if you stop being so bossy and become more receptive as to what is expected of you, I imagine that if you apply yourself, not more than six months or a year will go by before you have a Lucid Dream or ... even better... a Big Vivid Dream (the same as a Lucid Dream, in intensity, but you don't go about ruining it with control).

Feel free to ignore Leo, he's stark raving mad.

Couple of things you should do:

      1. Start doing reality checks during the day. Check you're not dreaming. One of the best ways to do this is by checking a digital clock, and seeing if it changes when you look back.

      2. Use some tried and tested methods for inducing lucid dreams. Read up on MILD and WBTB in the tutorials section if you don't know about them already.

      3. Keep a dream journal if you aren't already. It'll help you remember more dreams, and so if you do have a lucid dream, you're more likely to remember (you never know, you might have had LDs already, but just forgotten about them.)

Those comments made me laugh I think that Leo just has a different view on things than others do, he's not necessarily mad. I think that there is sense in some of the things he says.

I agree with these methods, they're basically what I used.

Also though, just having lucid dreaming on your mind can help. Thinking about lucid dreaming throughout the day and participating in the forums can often help you have a lucid dream at night. It took me a little while before I started having lucid dreams, but it seemed that once I had them on my mind and had succeeded in having one lucid dream, more came naturally.

You may just be trying too hard. Try this, it has worked for me before, and while it sounds odd, it really is a great technique if you're trying and trying and nothing is happening.

Then, one night, out of nowhere an idea came to my mind: "Just relax, dont even think about lucid dreaming". That night I acknowledged the existence of lucid dreaming, but deliberately didnt think about it or try any techniques or suggestions. I also had some weird confidence that I will succeed. It is important to note that this is different from just going to sleep and not doing any technques or forgetting about LDing.
I dont remember how many lds I had that night, I think that was 2+. For the next couple days I also had LDs.
This experience made me come up with the "spring" hypothesis - by reading and doing suggestions you wind up your inner LD "spring", but if you will continue reading and never let go, you will not have much success. Just let go for a night or two and you are very likely to notice results.

Sometimes I repeat that strange technique, but the success only comes when I maintain that weird state of deliberately avoiding thought of LDing, suppressing any hopes or expectations, just letting it all go and replacing them with the confidence in this technique. Last time I was able to maintain this state of mind for two nights that resulted in several lucid dreams, but on the third night I ruined it by givng me a few suggestions... So dont be greedy, have faith in the technique
