Somewhat akin to the fact that a bumblebee's wings are too small and light to carry it. The bumblebee is not aware of this....so it flies anyway. Maybe in my dreams when i fly i AM really flying (likely not, but for the sake of argument...wait, i hate arguing...anyways....). Just becasue i do not have wings, why CANT i fly? Because someone tells me i can't? Or that it seems illogical and impossible. Because it IS impossible? Who knows. Maybe our lucid dreams are able to teach us more about what we CAN do as opposed to what we CANT do. Food for thought i suppose. Or just fodder with which to deride me and my limited pockets of intelligence! lol!
Second Attention, no problem. Wish ihad been there to see that event. Must have been astonishing. But sometimes you witness something that just blows your mind. It seems completely unreal, but YOU KNOW WHAT YOU SAW. I concur. If that makes me wacko, fine. So be it.

I mean, I am pretty good with Photoshop, right? Seriously, though, I think Seri is right. Impossible is only what hasn't been seen or done yet. You forget that everything we, as human beings, have accomplished thus far was once thought impossible.

The Matrix really made me think. Not the second one though, only the first one. Reloaded made me cry because I had wasted $8 and two hours of my time. The other movie that really made me think was City of Angels, though it's too bad they did such a poor job translating book to movie. Ooh, the biggest one would definately be The Wall. Talk about your fucked-up lucid dream packed to the brim with symbolism. And for the record, I watched it completely sober.

To become like neo(or jesus) one needs faith.

No, faith is not what you think it is. Most definitions of faith are dead wrong.

The best description of faith i have ever heard was in Matrix:1

"Do not try and bend the spoon, thats impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth."

      "What truth?"

      "There is no spoon."

      "There is no spoon?"

"Then you'll see that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself."

I quite honestly found out about lucid dreaming from this part of a paper on whatisthematrix.com:

"But the phenomenon that really demonstrates conscious control over the dream is so called "lucid dreaming" in which the subject not only knows he is dreaming but can also determine the course of the dream. This is a rare ability (I have had only one lucid dream in all my 52 years), though some people have the ability in a regular and pronounced form: they are the Neos of our ordinary human Matrix—the ones (or Ones) who can take control of their dreams away from the grip of the unconscious dream producer. The lucid dreamers are masters of their own dream world, captains of their own imagination. Neo aspires to be—and eventually becomes—the lucid dreamer of the Matrix world: he can override the Matrix’s designs on his dream life and impose his own will on what he experiences. He rewrites the program, just as the lucid dreamer can seize narrative control from his unconscious Matrix."

Well, I just watched "BulletProof Monk" and it has a "saying" like the one from the Matrix.
      It went something like this...
[list]1.)...Believe what, that the laws of gravity don't exist?
2.)...If you truly believe, they don't.

[list]Well whatever, I hope you like that one...

Damn, I haven't watched The Matrix since I was like 9... and I might have fallen asleep during it. Also, I didn't understand it at allll...

I have to watch it again sometime soon. I tried to rent it from my library when I was alone and they said I was too young... I'm 12.

      anything is possible in dreams

i think anything is possible in dreams. anyone hear ever have a shared lucid dream? im wondereing, how do you get in their dream? i know some techniques but cant practice them becuase im never lucid !! anyways in a lucid dream you can do anything(incuding OOB experiences if you are a lucid dreamer expert) and if you got into a fight with another lucid person you could slow down time and you could kick thier ass by just keep attacking them, and you could increace your strength and get any weapon, or do or get lotsa other cool &%$#. but if they were thinking what you were, well , then thats very interesting.

Sorry to bust your collective bubbles, but the All Your Base thread was insanely longer. It took forever to load the pages because of all the jpegs!

Oh man... I think it was up in the thousands for pages. I think it was on the Counterstrike forum, but I could be wrong. I'm such a dork that I still have all those jpegs burned on a CD too.

Edit: Nope, I'm wrong. It was the Tribes forum, not Counterstrike.
