Hi guys this is going to be my first attempt on fild, i have heard great things about it so far. I am going to wake up tonight after a dream cycle to record the dream for my school project but what i plan to do is shortly after i wake up is start the second part of the FILD and begin moving my fingers. Will this work because i am tired enough or will i already be too awake after moving my arms for my journal and writing something.

And does brainwave gen help lucid dreams? I used it last night and had wicked dream recall and it was pretty weird because the second i stopped thinking about anything i fell directly asleep. :yumdumdoodledum:

If I were you I wouldn't right an entire entry in "story" form in your journal because it may wake you up too much to do a fild. I've never done one succesfully because I always seem to "forget" to move my fingers after a while, but I would imagine if it takes you longer than a few minutes to fall asleep you'll probably be unsuccessful.

If the brainwave gen thing helped you increase your dream recall than I'm sure its got some beneficial effects on your lucid dreaming chance. I'm not sure what a brainwave gen is, though, so I wouldn't really know.

I wouldnt write an entry in your journal at all in my opinion. But then again it might work for you...everyones different. IVe tried FILD several times but the only time it worked was when i woke up in the middle fo the night and i was dead tired. Almost too tired to even think about the FILD technique..but i did it and it worked. Sadly i dont know what time it was...i just woke up naturally..otherwise id have better luck finding my "sweet" spot for wake up time.

unfortunately i didnt wake up. Not even to record any dreams! Personally i think it might be beacuse i had the room pitch black last night because i read you need the room very dark after you wake up. I have been having dream recollections when i have my closet light on.

In my experience, doing just about anything wakes you up too much...I tend to have to wake up and chill for a little bit until I feel I'm just about to fall asleep. Any other time and it fails

Finger induced lucid dreaming. Searching the forums should get you plenty of results. Never tried it myself, but it sounds like it can work.

Nah, WILD is too extreme for me, takes too much time...and DILDs/MILDs are really fidgety, you never know for sure if they'll work. FILD is a bit temperamental, but it works well most times, and is really cool when it does. The one thing that I have a problem with is that FILDs usually end up pitch black or near that, because you go from wake to sleep so fast. It takes me a little bit to find a DC so I can turn the lights on.
