Heya,
When did you have the daydream? For me, daydreams are always far more vivid after having slept a while, after having woken from a dream (any dream, including lucid dreams), or even just after a period of inactivity (after my body has gone to rest mode). Coupled with some hypnagogia, they can get surprisingly vivid. They also tend to get more vivid as I get more drowsy. Additionally, the more my attention is focused inward instead of outward (for instance while walking to work remembering the dreams I had vs while walking to work thinking about my day tasks), the more vivid the daydreams becomes as well.
Just my experience,
