Thread: Dreaming, While Your Rl Body Dies

I think that the dream will fade to the thing with the bright light and then we cease to exist.

It's entirely impossible to know.

But then again, I've always thought one big network of personal but connected dreamworlds would be an awesome afterlife, sort of like you have your own universe with limitless possibilities for fun and enlightenment - much like a perfect LD - but you can phone up other (real) deceased friends of yours and throw dinner parties or just have some mad games with 'em, in your private little (big) universe.

Just a thought. Whadya guys think of it?

i have a theory. this is the main reason that ive been wanting to learn to astral travel and OBE n such, but seeing as it can only happen once, i cant prove my theory. if you KNOW ur dying, you can project yourself out of ur body to the astral plane or what not and mabey your body dies, but ur spirit is forever in the astral plane, or traveling the world. Mabey when someone else OBEs or astral travels, u can their body?...... mabey not being a body theif or something, but the astral travel/ stuck in the astral plane could really happen. i dont want to just stop existing never knowing if i am going to get back into the world. i want to see changes happen, what will be of the earth in the year 3000? 4000? even 5000! and mabey if the Armegeddon (sp?) happens, i will have a problem. for how do u cease to exist on the astral plane? i dont know, but i would love to have it happen. So if youre LDing, the dream may fade and you wouldnt know it and youd just never wake up, but if youve a strong intuition that the LD is you dying, id get outa that body quick.

thousands of people have had near death experiences and can even tell you what the doctors were doing to them while they were 'unconscious'

why dont you ask them?

well in about two of my dreams .....people actually did die
one was my grandma and then the other was my aunt .....
it seems to me when you have a very close relationship with someone and you dream of their death ....then that's serous...sometimes people have more that just regular feeling for people....sometimes they have spiritual feelings for people...and your spirit can feel someone leaving and that's what people dream of......................

Well, it may be possible to dream about someone who is going to die, but the way you state it is a bit weird. Let's say I dream about a very good friend dying, and he doesn't die in "real life", then it means I didn't have a very good relationship with him? What about myself dying, it would mean I have no very good relationship with myself? That's a bit odd.

That's a good question, I wonder what would happen if you died in real life while dreaming. What if you died from natural causes though? (dying in your sleep) Would the dream just fade, or what?

ok i did some self searching and this is what i came up with

when a person has a extremely good relationship with one person they become connected sort of spiritually and when a person is about to leave this world deep inside (spiritually) you can feel it.


and i guess i felt my grandma leave

I'm think you cant die while you are asleep. Your brain wakes your body up, and THEN dies.


So I think you will come out of your dream startled, then die.

That would be interesting. An astral plane where people were all floating around in space, flying around in the universe looking at stars. Of course you couldn't have a giant ld with other people because you would all be trying to change it. Somehow i do not think that would work. I'd love to see a black hole though...


I spose your dream would be fading and you would see the big tunnel with the bright light. I won't know till i die.

(Off the topic) Is the universe made up off matter (planets stars etc) or the absense of matter?
