I'm not sure, but REM periods lengthen toward the morning, so you have more chance of a lucid dream then. |

Man, Id love to find a way of lengthening REM sleep, I haven't been getting much sleep lately what with being so busy. If I could lengthen the REM sleep I do have, I'd be sure to LD (sadly I haven't yet). So if anyone has an idea, I'm willing to listen as well |

When once you have tasted flight,
You will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward,
For there you have been,
And there you will always long to return
This might be painfully obvious, or maybe not. |

Lol. I'm not 100% sure that it would increase your chances, as you might be SO tired that your mind might not wanna LD, if you understand what I'm saying. Please keep in mind that I'm just going off of basic knowledge, but if indeed REM deprivation is real, and you can handle sleep deprivation... |

Yeah I don't think it would be clever. At least not when I have to be at work at 6am every day! lol |

In Star Trek TNG there was an episode where for some reason the crew had REM deprivation, and everyone went bonkers. |

Was that the one when their pre-chosen dreamsign was a full moon and they kept seeing it everywhere, so they were still dreaming and couldn't wake up? I'm not really a trekkie but I remember that one. The Māori dude with tattoos could WILD at will so he did to help the crew, and he said if we see the full moon, we know we're still dreaming. Of course when they think its all over, they see a moon somewhere and realise they're still dreaming. |
