      WOW, what an amazing forum!!

Hello, I am totally new here, one of my friends mentioned this site in passing, I cannot believe I have wasted 16years of my life not training for Lucid dreams. I have always loved dreaming but lately have begun to fail to remember! I need to reconnect the connections to my drea memory, has anyone got any tips for me other than a dream diary?? I have had 1 proper lucid dream a couple of years back, The first thing i did (suprise suprise) was try to fly, it turned out I was rubbish at it and could just jump like 20metres at a time (which is actually still VERY cool) Other lucid dreams I have had have been scary and I have desperatly tried to re-open my eyes, I dont think the content was scary just the fact I had become lucid. Also What is WILD?

Hey, Funkymonkey! Welcome to Dream Views!

      :aphiusisonecrazySOB:

Well, I don't have the best dream recall. So I can't answer your first question.

And, w00t! Dream powers are cool, aren't they?

WILD is an acronym for "Wake Induced Lucid Dream". Go to the tutorial section for information on this.

I am very glad you have found dreamviews. I am also pretty new here, so I can't give you a proper welcome, but... Welcome! (I think a proper welcome has something to do with a bananna)

Anyway, I am 18 and have wasted most of my life not knowing about LD too. I have them naturally usually, but sometimes I try to WILD (it has actually only worked once).

WILD is Wake Induced Lucid Dream. Go to http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2048 for a tutorial.

Hope to see you around. Also check out the newbie forums for answers to a lot of questions, some of which you might have.

That Wild thing sounds fun, sometimes when I am really really tired I feel different when going to sleep, lights appear and vivd imagary just appears in view. I usually just fall asleep after this though. Is it in anyway dangerous? I would be very scared feeling paralysed while being awake and dreaming at the same time

yeah, i know how you feel about it. it's not dangerous, however. sleep paralysis is a body function whichs prevents you from acting out your dreams in real life.

e.g. it prevents you from giving a kung-fu kick to somebody above your bed when you are dreaming about it.....

its wierd how we managed to evolve to paralyse ourselves in sleep. I will see how far I can get with that wild stuff tonight, though I dont feel in the right errrr mood/condition/tiredness to do it. When I do get what i reckon are the beginning stages of one I will have lights come into vision they will move slowly and randomly around then other images will pop in, but sometimes I feel like I am falling at an incredible rate (or spinning upside down) and it spoils it.

Oooh! I had that spinning feeling last night while tryin a WILD. Of course, then I got pissed off that things wernt goin as planned and dropped the whole trying thing and just went to sleep. Heh. Heh. And my dream recall is almost non-existant. So no tips here, except it can only get better/easier. Hopefully...Welcome!

hmm.. i have the same sort of problems. and yes, funkymonkey, you need to be in a certain mood to do it and it is weird how we managed to evolve into it, isn't it?

      Hi!
      [link removed]

The dream is real, my friends. The failure to realize it is the only unreality.

The world would be a more interesting place if there was a Lucid Dreaming class in the school curriculum...

      Believe, work, play...you'll get it.

      Welcome, man!!

And I did have a dream where lucid dreaming was a class at school. It was called Lucid 101, and a friend and I skipped math so we could go to it.

BTW, I just got back from Alberta so it's good to see you all again.
