As far back as I can remember I have only had lucid dreams, as soon as I open my eyes (in my dream) I realize I'm dreaming, and within that I have complete control of what goes on. I was curious if there is anyway to stop my being aware of it. My dreams have really come quite boring, (when you've been doing it your whole life you run out of sensations). I want to have a dream that I don't have control in, I want to see were things lead so that I may find out what my conscience is trying to tell me.

If there isn't any way that you can think of can you please give suggestions to which I may make my dreams more enjoyable.

Thank you for your time and answers.

      To stop having control:
Stop taking advantage of control. It is possible to watch a dream, knowing you're dreaming, and not affect it. It takes a conscious decision to decide to control something. Otherwise, the dream will often progress by itself.
(This is just a hypothesis, though, as I don't have too much experience with trying to "deprogram myself" from lucid dreams. I get pretty skeptical when I hear of people that say they only have lucid dreams, but I'll give you the benefit of doubt. )

      To have more enjoyable dreams:
Surround yourself with media that depicts the type of dreams you want to have. If you want funny, off-the-wall-comedy type dreams, start reading more or watching more of that type of stuff. If you want to have action-packed dreams, do the same, keeping in mind your intention to incubate these elements into your dreams, as you're experiencing them, and reminding yourself of your intention to do so, as you're going to sleep at night.

In either case, though, don't expect to see too many changes overnight.

Interesting problem. I wonder if you tried some kind of role playing if you could manage to lose your conciousness. You know how we all as kids got so involved in role playing games that we temporarily lost track of who we were?
Give that a shot, imerse yourself in the dream totally.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

Ah, well I guess I lied to a certain extent I don't have control of not having control. Once i realize I'm dreaming which is the instant I find myself in a location other than the one I am sleeping in, everything will stop. Granted the "dream objects/people" still interact as my mind would have them but I react as I would if I were truly awake, except for the fact of being able to control whatever comes to mind at the moment. You see I have a A.D.D. but not in the sense that I concentrate on anything but in the sense that i will concentrate on one thing until I'm done trying to figure out what it is that gave me the interest in the first place(yes which means i zone -out a lot). My mind, subconsciencely, to say the least is morbid and warped. Which I find intriguing, so if I do make a conscience effort on changing something it will change for a split second because I will still be trying to understand what I need to be told. So as you can see I either want to figure this out or get rid of it all together.

EDIT: @Oneironaut, Sorry for the constant editing, but I despise double posting. I realize yes it seems it is highly unlikely that I have only lucid dreams but I assure you it's true, for awhile I thought everyone dreamed that way, then I took a psychology class it explained somewhat that it was uncommon. Since then I have attempted many sensations (as my ADD didn't develop until freshman year last year). Thank you for the benefit of the doubt as I realize it is hard to beleive.

EDIT: @Seeker, When I was young I never played any of those games, I was the one who asked others why they played with imaginary friends instead of real ones.

Thank you all for your suggestions.

Although I despise double-posting I decided that this was important enough to post seperately. Thank you all for your answers but I have decided that I may have a use for it as of this moment. I read the post on personal dream-worlds and thought it interesting enough to delve into deeper. Again, thank you for your time.

You don't HAVE to have control to be lucid. Lucid dreams mean you know you're dreaming. I often don't take control unless I'm utterly pissed (like my last one I was so mad I got a bad grade I had the teacher change it to an A). I've been LD since I was a very young child. When I was fifteen I stopped remembering dreams alltogether due to a very bad lucid dream I had where I refused to take control. I would stay up extra late, actually WANT to not remember. When I first tried this I would set the alarm to go off every hour to make sure I disrupted my dreams. For a year and a half I had no dreams.

Now I want them, and for a bit I had to struggle to get them back. One day, I remembered how it felt and it came back naturally again. I don't always take control, I just know I'm dreaming. I would never give them up again. The bright colors, the real feelings, it's like I never fall asleep, the reality is so real.

I have control in the sense where if I will it, it will happen without to much thought. I don't have control in the sense that I "can't" force myself to not have control, this is more of a personality trait that transfers over. My life in general I have control in almost every aspect that I am able to, and the aspects that I don't have control over I can accurately predict what will happen which gives me time to prepare for it. I, by nature, over-think everything. The purpose of this post was because I wanted to discover what my subconscience was trying to tell me due to certain reacurring graphic dreams, or forget them all together. Then I read the post about "dreamscapes" and if this theory is even remotely true then I will be able to discover what I initially wanted to.

I am 15, I have experienced many of what is on this site so it shall not be a problem to "map" my subconscience. I realize it is a gift, but there are some things in my mind that I need to understand or to forget altogether. Unfortunately now that I want to remember my dreams I fall into a dry spell. Any of you heard of bruising in your sleep? I know that some do due to flailign in their sleep and hitting walls, but I have had people watch me and I will wake up with bruises due to the content of the dream.
