      Question

If i fell asleep and woke up 90 minutes later, around my REM period, and did a FILD, would it work? or does it have to be like a WBTB where you sleep a lot and then stay up and then fall back to sleep? i would really appreciate a response within a half an hour since i'm starting to feel a bit sleepy! thanks

I already answered this in a differnet post!!
      Lol.

-No dont use WBTB that DEFEATS the purpose.
-Maybe it will work...nothing is 100%
-Your first REM cycle is really short...why not try it 4hours into sleep.

lol, well thanks for answering again. ok, i guess i could make it so i wake up in the second or third REM period. you think setting my alarm for 180 or 200 minutes after i fall asleep is good?ha, i've only ever had an average controlling lucid dream once, so im inexperienced. Oh, and when you said to set the clock for 4 hours, would that be in a REM period and i would need it to be in one or would it just be fine to wake up 4 hours after i fall asleep.....yeah, i can't stand wasting possible lucid dreaming time since i can really only do it on weekends when i have more time to sleep.

Errr i have the same weekend problem. Unfortunaily i end up getting less sleep somtimes lol.

I belive you have to time it for around a REM cycle, logically, if u wasnt in REM you wouldnt fall into a dream you would go into a different stage of sleep. But im not sure.

This should give you a good idea of were to wake yourself up.

Ideally, you should time it so you wake after approximately 5-6 hours so if you did manage to lucid dream it wouldn't end quickly. Then, really, you can try any technique you want, but you'll have to experiment to find the ideal time, but you'll wanna do it going back into one of the big REM cycles. then you have a good chance of entering a lucid dream, if you do the m,ethods correctly

      I wish you luck!
