DJ Entries
53
As you can see i joined this site relatively close to the end of last year.

After a month or so I had my first lucid, in which i entered the dream knowing i was dreaming. I could do anything I wanted without any trouble.

After a couple of months my dream journal stopped being written in and the lucids went away =(

Though trying again and again to get my DJ back on track it never worked... until now

This week I have had 2 lucids, in which i enter by realising the situation could never be happening. I begin with little clarity and control, though I find the yelling of "Increase Lucidity!" over again helped gain clarity. Though i got the clarity i can not exhert my powers on the dream world.

Yesterday I told myself I would come on here and find some way to control it. I figured out I hadn't thought of anything to want to do inside the dream, so I had nothing driving me. So I found a topic on odd things to do in dreams and made a list of small things from there that all relate and would be fun and easy.

I then figured out i also used to mentally be able to think it and it would happen, though this isnt working anymore. So I started thinking of a 'technique' i guess to make something happen. I thought about it for a long while and finally remembered a sign I used to make with my hands where I could concentrate all my energy, and this is going to be my 'technique'

I also remembered about a dream I had during my off period. It was about a girl who I seemed to fall in love with, and at the end of the dream I remember hearing her last name as 'Snake'. Ever since I randomly think about her and what she meaned, when i realised that she's my dream guide. Ive also figured out since that her name is 'Lady Snake' and i plan to summon her during my next lucid by making my signal and saying 'I know who you are, appear Lady Snake' and shall turn around to find her behind me.

I feel over the moon because i know that this is going to be a great new start, I'm starting to remember my dreams again and I will have more power and knowledge in my dreams than ever before. I also wanted to share some of this with people looking for something to use to help in their dreams.

Sorry for the long post, just felt like sharing

That's great, Merlin! There are many of us out there who will go through dry spells due to a plethora of reasons, and getting back on track can be frustrating.

The dream journal thing is the most recommended, yet for some reason, the hardest to get back into. Setting goals of things to do and using events from previous dream experiences is a great idea to get that momenum tup started up again. I hope this works out for you (I just may give it a try myself).

If you run out of ideas, there's a couple threads here that could help:
