Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives. ~William Dement
I'm 45 now, had my first LD in 1990, learned about it around 1981 or 1982 |

Hey Seeker, what the heck are those numbers at the bottom of your sig? I gather that it shows your illustrious career as an LDer, but how does one read it? |

This lucid dream has encountered a fatal error! Reboot? [Y/N]

Since joining the forum:
WILDs: 1
WBTB: 2
DILD: 1
I'm 33 at the moment. My first LD was obtained at the age 27, whist reading Lucid Dreaming, on Sat/Sun, the 24th/25th of Feb, 2001: A little over 6 years now. I still remember the dream well. I'm the kind of person that would have started much earlier in life, had I only known it was even possible to do. |

25. I used to LD a lot as a child but that faded. Then at 22 I had a mega-LD that came out of nowhere and got me started all over again. Mastering the art now will most likely make it easier to LD when you get older. No worries. |

We who are about to dream, salute you!

Dream Is Destiny
I first started to LD at about 13/14 I think, could have been a lot earier I'm sure, but never really thought about it since i thought LDs were natural part of sleeping and anyone could do it... It wasn't until about 6 months ago my flat mate was talking about it and I mentionned that I always LD and she said its amazing as people try this for years etc. Do decided to read up about it, found this forum, and really interested in new techniques etc to advance my LDs. |
|
I had my first LD at age 12 about, though I didn't become interested in it until much later. |
|
I've had lucid dreams every so often pretty much as long as I can remember. I always thought they were cool and hoped to induce them, but I didn't know how to induce them. |
|
I have been lucid dreaming my whole life, I am now 14 (almost 15). |
|
17, found this forum and then got into lucid dreams when i was 16 |

In the process of realizing the dream, abandon all feeling of fear; And, if the dream be of fire, transform the fire into water, the antidote of fire. And if the dream be of minute objects, transform them into large objects; Or if the dream be of large objects, transform them into small objects: Thereby one comprehendeth the nature of dimensions.
And if the dream be of a single thing, transform it into many things; Or if the dream be of many things, transform them into a single thing. - Tibet
I'm 26 now. I didn't actually know there was technical names for all this stuff, like "lucid dreaming" until I found this site just yesterday. I didn't actively endeavour to lucid dream 3 years ago. Like I said, I didn't even know there was a term for it. I was more conditioned to do it thanks to that period when I had mental psychosis. Basically, I went completely and utterly insane for about 8 months. Lost complete touch with reality. Totally delusional, and one of those delusions being that the waking world is all a lie, and dreams are reality. With that in mind, you kind of make it a necessity to remain aware in dreams. I've dreamed heaps and heaps during my life but ever since the psychosis, I have had not one dreamless night. God, it'd be good to just have 1 night where I don't dream, or be aware of dreaming, or have a vivid dream, or lucid dream, or even remember having a dream. Bloody dreams. |
