      globalising LDing

I googled (that's how I found out about Dreamviews) "Lucid Dream Forum" and this "100 % free lucid dream kit !" advertisement came up...
What's your view on the marketing expansion of LDing?

Personnally, I think it's too much and I like the fact that it's not a trend or anything similar...
      Getting back to LDing

May I ask why do like the fact that it's not a trend?

People would probably start buying lucid dream pills, since humans always seek the easy way out (or in).

But that would just boost the lucid dreaming pills research, and may eventually benefit us all.

I wouldn't eat that. I'd rather work hard to get LDs then just eating a pill.

Which just emphasize that more research on it should be made, and this will come with the popularization of LD

A lucid pill, eh? I wonder if there is a chemical that is present when logical lucid thinking is present? And what areas of the brain activate/deactivate, and if a chemical could directly influence that...?

Unless the pill is nothing more than B6. That's just a 'dream enhancer,' and may produce vividness, but I doubt it has longevity (the more you use it, the less it will affect you).

Anyway. Globalization of lucid dreaming could be a good thing or bad thing. Depends on how people absorb it. Which means it depends on how the media portays it. Which means it depends on the mindsets of the people from which the media gathers their spin, ie. lucid dreaming communities such as this one. The way I see it, if lucid dreamers emphasize the possibilities of astral projection, precognitive abilities, and mystical dream guides, then when lucid dreaming reaches the eyes and ears of the average joe, they will disregard it as another New Age pseudo-science. On the other hand, if people are more like LaBerge, who seek to enlighten others of the possibility and applications of these dreams, backing their claims with concrete evidence, then lucid dreaming will be viewed as healthy, intelligent, stress-relieving, and natural (all of which are true).

The fate of the reception of the subject rests on our shoulders.
