I was only describing the effect it can have after heavy consumption.
I lead a busy life that certainly doesn't revolve around marijuana & resent being called lazy, I've always worked & besides I was up early most mornings of that summer tending to the crop! LOL
I wasn't calling you a lazy dope, but now I can see how it might have come off that way. Sorry about that. I was talking about the effect itself. I was also generalizing while mainly talking about my own experience. I know the described effect all too well, and I was descrbing my personal experience with it, which seems to be the most common one. But I know there are exceptions, which apparently you are. I had a friend a while back who seemed to become more motivated when stoned, which reminds me of another friend who would take downers and suddenly start cleaning his house. Similarly, cocaine works like a downer on me and has me sitting down for hours and in such slow motion that I am almost too lazy to talk. When I try, I am so retarded that I have trouble getting through a sentence. Those are all exceptions to the general rules.
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

That's cool, yeah people definitely react different.

I've tried & used all drugs except heroin. I've had many good times & with weed it depends on the type of strain you're smoking but all I can stress is that experience I had with marijuana taught me the meaning of terror!

I was seeing two different shaped UFO's in the night sky clear as day that travelled in silence.
I'd developed very unsettling ideas as to the nature of our existence, how we came to be here & what 'their' intentions towards us were.
I remember holding onto a tree because I felt it represented a true expression of life rooted firmly in the ground (as long as I was connected to that I was safe)
When I was indoors I remember lighting 4 white candles to symbolise protection & I had a small crystal ashtray fly across the room & smash! (I'll never know what caused that)
I could see constantly changing images of people in the flames which made me think of Hell at which point I started to feel/imagine the sensation of burning which started off like an electrical current running through me.
I felt we had telepathic abilities & other powers we're yet to discover & many other thoughts I believed I'd now accessed because the MJ had awakened another part of my brain. All I knew was once the Paranoia/Anxiety/Raw Fear is transversed I could tune to the positive pole which produced the opposite feelings of Peace & Tranquilty but this only constituted about 20% of the experience. Projecting the negative of your mind into waking reality was like a nightmare I couldn't wake up from.
In the end the only thing that helped me was my feelings towards my girlfriend because Love is the only emotion stronger than my darkest fears.

Like I said I dont smoke it that much anymore.

i am in a hurry, so i haven't read the whole thread yet. but felt the urge to say something on this topic. on a long-term basis THC will make you forget everything you dream!
i am a passionate smoker for 11 years now and i haven't remembered one dream in the last 4 years when i smoked on that day. however, after not smoking for a days, the dreams will stay in your memory, and even more intense (this is of course a subjective observation).

THC really can fuck up your short-term memory when consumed constantly, so this is an absolute no-good when it comes to lucid dreaming. on the other hand if somebody has problems with sleeping, THC is very serviceable.
also if you are afraid of sleeping because of bad dreams this *might* be something for you, but it is to be used with caution, and only if you are older than 20 years, because when you are still growing and your psyche is still developing (well, it actually always does develop, i mean the development from a child to an adult) THC can really harm you, especially labile persons.

by no means i want to encourage anybody to take any "drugs", my concern in this posting was to show the possible pros and cons of THC, and a short description of the impact it had on my dreams. i think this is something worth discussing.

      Have you? How are:

      2c-* (all dozens of them)
      MDA
      5-MeO-DMT
      DMT
      Bromo-Dragonfly
      Nutmeg
and hundreds of other drugs I can't recall at the moment.

      All encompassing statements = bad!
