      Strange occurance..

My recall is back up, and I have been having three remembered dreams a night average again. However, I have been noticing that when I'm dreaming, I almost always know its a dream, and I can make decisions consciously, but I'm not lucid. It's hard to explain. Like in the dream someone that means a lot to me could be saying they hate me and stuff, and I'll just shrug and walk away from them saying "Meh. It's only a dream anyway."
What the hell is up with that?! And how do I go from there to being lucid???

Now I'm no expert, but this is what I would try. Stop whatever you're doing and say "This is a dream. I'm dreaming, and I'm lucid. I have control, I can do whatever I want." Do a reality check, or rub your hands together. Force yourself out of the flow of the dream, and you should get lucid.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

I recall many posts and topics about dreaming of lucid dreaming. The mind is a wondrous thing, heh.

I've been having dreams where I'm exploring the physics of dreams, and the peculiarities of dream memories, but without being lucid. Dreaming about dreaming. It's a strange thing.

all i can think of is that ur just not stabalizing the dream when you see this person who means alot to ya and she/he says stuff like i hate u you click its a dream for that second and you have to take that second to stop and stabalize.

yeah, i know exactly what you mean. that happens with me too and i could never explain it. i know i'm dreaming but i dont get the same feeling that i get with lucid dreaming, and i'll realize i'm dreaming and just kinda shrug it off like "no big deal". you just have to tell yourself before you fall alseep to force yourself to control your dream. it's kinda hard but you'll get it eventually

Try to plan a reality check to do in advance before you go to sleep. The one i always use and works without fail is sticking my hand through a solid object. I'll be half lucid, then ass soon as my hand goes through that object everything clicks into place and becomes vivid.

That's exactly how some of my lucids are. Because I've been LDing for years now, it's so second nature, that I'll just acknowledge it's a dream, yet go on in the dream like in reality.
