      My first Lucid Experience?

I think I had my first Lucid Dream last night

I'll try to keep this short:
I slept for about five hours I would guess, before I awoke by myself at about 7 o'clock in the morning. Then I didn't remember anything really from any dreams, but I attempted to WILD anyway. I didn't succed very wll so after a while I fell asleep, and had at least two dreams that I remember quite well (one where I was fighting with swords and bows, quite scary). Then suddenly I find myself lying in my bed looking at something at the wall in my room, it was a poster or something with text. My vision is pretty bad IRL and it was now as well, but not that bad because I could make out some words that were on. Then I realised I must be dreaming so a did a reailty checked by plugging my nose and I did manage to blow in air! It was cool, and then I thought since this is my dream why don't I give myself superb vision, and that worked too! But at this point my lucidity started to go away and by the time I had left my room and gone downstairs it was almost gone. But I tried to use my Lucid-powers, for example I started a fire in the fireplace by pressing the light-switch. I aslo tried to summon some DCs but it didn't work very well. Then my borther came and at that point I had lost my lucidity and thought that it was IRL and that I was invisible, like an astral projection.

So when I woke up I thought it was cool but wasn't really sure if I had been lucid or not or if I had just had one of those "dreaming I had an LD". But the first thing I felt when I became lucid felt quite realistic, so who knows?

Yup, that sounds like lucidity to me! Congratulations!

The point is, at the beginning you knew you were dreaming, and you did so with a real-life reality check (which was brought on by concious doubt, according to your account). You concluded that you were in a dream! This is lucidity, even if you did lose it later in the dream. Now that you've experienced it once, it'll be easier the second time to calm yourself and focus, in order to retain lucidity through the entire dream.

Thanks a lot you two! I have actually studied Lucid Dreaming for a year and tried once in a while to become lucid, but I haven't tried hard enough, but now I'm really gonna try

Hey, I just realized I posted this in the wrong forum, sorry
