Next time you LD, and control is weak, try and sit down and do nothing.
Work at stabilizing and gaining control by first ruling the area nearest you.
Focus on the nearest objects, feel the brick or wood, tap your feet on the concrete, dirt, grass, etc...
Sometimes in my LD's, I will stand there and practice bringing objects into my hand. It's kind of creepy, but I am good at it now.
Sometimes in waking life, I think I can do it. (scary)
I think dreams can be directed by our actions, sitting down forces the dream generator to 'sit down'. Get up and run, the dream activity returns.
LD's can be like normal life, the attention is wherever you are focused.
