I want to talk about the different DC's...

      Okay,

I know there are a million posts on this, and lost of discussion around the idea of a DG etc. I have never experienced this and find it a little hard to believe, BUT...

Recently I have started to interact with my DCs a lot more. And I have noticed there are 2 types of DC.

Type 1: Are the type that just ignore you, I try to talk to them, I try to ask them questions, or even attract their attention, but they just seem so disinterested! The wander about with no real purpose of being there, they seem to be there just to make up the numbers.

      Type 2:
The ones that help and talk to you and when you ask them questions they interact and are very knowledgeable. These are the nice DCs. If you need to know something, or want to go somewhere they are always happy to help, and they have the answer to every question you ask them.

Does anyone notice these differences in DCs? Or have you noticed any different types? I only ever seem to have these two types and the ones who don't talk to me really frustrate me! So why is it that not all of them will talk to me? Is it just my mine cannot cope with making up all this dream scenery and giving all my DCs a personality etc? Is it these ones who talk are DGs in a way, or my mind when it feels needs to makes them interact with me?

      Thanks,
      Adam.

Well, I don't think I've ever expirienced type 1 in any of my LDs, all of my DCs have spoken to me. Most of them seem to be pretty smart too, but not all of them help out very well. I have had type two, though sometimes it's just a narrator. I have had another type, however, in one of my longest lucids. He was very smart (he was a mad scientist) but he was very mean and evil. The entire dream he was chasing me (with his big henchmen) and he made everyone think I was the bad guy. (The only reason I let him chase me, though, was because one of the things on my list of things to do was to have an adventure.)

So, there should be a Type 3: The ones that are somewhat intelligent, but are portrayed as bad guys in the dream.

What I've noticed is this; the moment I start thinking about them as DCs, mine become uncooperative, deceptive and even hostile.

Guess they don't like to be considered objects

Adam: does this happen in your Lucid Dreams?

Yes sorry - normal dreams are fine, Its only when I am lucid, some of them dont like to talk to me, although I do find some helpful ones if I look enough.

Have you tried reading their minds as to why they are so mean?

They are not mean - they just seem too stupid to talk to me, and don't acknowledge I am there.

Yeah last night I tried talking to some and they just didn't answer - they carried on walking, and didn't even look at me...

Maybe its because I was in space? Hmmmm... lol Nah this happens all the time no matter where I am.

In my lucid dreams there are many different types the two you said plus ones who just come out of nowhere and start attacking me, deceiving dc's who you are getting on fine with for a while then they turn on you, outgoing dc's who are really adventerous, no nonsense dc's who i get on fine with, but then a dc says is that chair taken for example to a dc and they kick the crap out of them so there are many types of dc's in my lucids which is good because it would be boring to meet the same sort of dc's all the time.

How about the types that try to axe you up and are impervious to Dream Powers?

Yeh i know what you mean, you will get a dream character attack you so you try to use powers on them, or telekinesis which i try and it doesn't work it's like they are invincible.
