      Question How much reality checks?

      About how much reality checks do you do a day?

      I am reading Exploring the world of Lucid dreaming and it said to keep note how many you perform a day. I started recording today and i have performed 40 so far.

      Also to perform them when you do certain things such as

      1. When you speak to your boss
      2. See an attractive person.
      3. Read a typograppical error.
      4. You go to the bathroom.
      5. Enter a new scenery.

      I use number two because could lead to good lucids, whenever i hear or see anything to do with dreaming, dreamsigns, random reality checks, and oddities.

      50 is the normal amount, so I've read. But seeing as I dont really rememeber to count fifty a day, i just do them whenever I can. Mostly when i get on here, or if i see my dream symbol. .. so enough, but not too little.

      Once an hour, every hour, I think "where am I? Does it look like it looked last time? Why am I where I am?" And then I think "if it was a dream, I'd [tangible RC to confirm], [insert stabilization method here], and then [insert goals here]."

      I also RC whenever there's a scene change, something malfunctions, I feel a strong emotion, or I wake up. So I question reality roughly 20 times per day, but hardcore reality check (nose plugging) only a couple times a day (and whenever I wake up at night) on average.

      Your supposed to do 5 an hour but that seems a bit much. A couple an hour should be enough.

      I used to do them very often during the day. I got lazy and have paid the price in the form of a dry spell.

      Must RC now. And now. And now. And...

      Yeah i find it really hard to keep up with doing RC's. I have heard so many different amounts on how often it should be done through out the day.

      Thats why i have started them again because i have had no ld in 5 nights and when i was doing them i was having alot of success. It's my second night back on the reality checks and i am expecting to have a lucid tonight.
