      Stupid cat!

So I decided to go for a WILD last night, it was the first time I've tried in several weeks since I've been really busy lately. Anyway, I got up and did WBTB, then went back to bed about 15 minutes later. It took me forever but finally I started getting really intense HI and then SP. I was thinking this was going to be great when out of nowhere, my cat decides to start meowing really loud right near my face. This was at 5 in the morning. I tried ignoring her at first but she wouldn't stop so I finally had to move and throw a pillow at her. After that I was wide awake so blew off trying to WILD and eventually fell asleep. DOH!

Doesn't she do that all the time, even when you're not trying to WILD? Mine would, if I didn't lock them out of the bedroom. Or else they would use the bed as a good place to fight, or run across the headboard over and over, or decide to start treading on me with their claws out...

In my experience, cats and lucid dreaming don't mix.

Yeah, she sometimes she starts caterwauling at night for no reason. But this was the first time she interrupted my LD attempt. I'd love to kick her out of the bedroom but she doesn't like closed doors and would probably meow even more. Luckily she’s older now (and de-clawed,) so I don't have to worry about her running all over the place. If she's not sleeping these days, she's either pooping or eating.

My first LD ever was interrupted by our cat trampling over me. And that wasn't the last time as she likes to sleep in my bed... well, I still love her

Oh yea there's that too--earplugs. And a shock-mat for in front of the bed-room door to stop attempts to claw their way in.

I hate it when my cat wakes me up! Sometimes, if I am already in a dream and it happens, I can ignore it, or force myself to believe it's 'dream noise' and continue the dream.

She doesn't really meow for food anymore. She will if I'm awake and walking, but if I'm sitting or sleeping, she'd rather bat at my face (a corruption of the trick I taught her. She will wave her paw up and down on command, and I give her a treat).
