      Can LDs "crash" your brain?

I posted a similar topic in the "General Dream Discussion" forum, but I realized that this topic belongs here because while it encompasses regular dreams, it really applies to lucid dreams.

In LDs, the dreamer plays a large role in the creation of the environment/situation they are in. As such, they can essentially create whatever environment or situation they imagine. It would seem to me(as someone new to LDs)that the environment could get so endlessly complex as to essentially "crash" their brain's ability to maintain that environment.

Do you all have experiences/knowledge relating to this idea? Do you think it has some truth to it, or is the brain capable of creating anything it can imagine?

Eh, don't think of the brain in a similar manner as a computer. If you tried something like that, you'd either be unable or you would destabilize the dream and probably wake up.

I imagine that the worse it could get is a sudden environment change, but I doubt that your brain could "crash" in a similar manner as a computer or a game.

      Ha...
The brain is more powerfull than a computer. You really shouldn't be afraid of crashing your brain. Give me an example that you think would be too complex? Nothing is too complex, I've seen it . I think your brain will crash when the universe crashes, you can only imagine what you can sense. So what would overwhelm your senses so much that it would crash you?

I think it's a question of how much you are used to.
Better explained; If you LD once u may not be able to fly, coz your brain isn't convinced it's possible, it won't crash, although you may , but you would probably fade into waking. But once u learn how to, it's easy.

So I think if you slowly built your ability to create massive worlds and remember all of it down to the last detail you could do it, but there would have to be a limit, and maybe you would fade and wake up or fade from lucidity into a normal dream.

The only difference is flying is not really taking up memory in your brain, maybe just a little to remember that you can fly, but remembering too much of a world, to your brains full capacity (currently estimated as 1-1000 Terabytes) could well turn you into a vegetable.
But could anyone really train themselves to remember all of this? Most likely you would just forget heaps of information.

So in conclusion I'm not sure but do what you will with my info/view.

Edit: Of course no one knows what happens when you fill your memory because it has never been known to happen
