      Almost had it!

      Hello.

      New member here.

I did try some things from this site and apparently something went well, I did not have a lucid dream yet but I was nearly close to understand that I am dreaming.

I am too excited to write everything here now, but the bottom line is that it is the first time I really asked myself if I was dreaming.

So, having no experience at all, I said to myself that "of course I am dreaming, this is too "real" to be a dream". That is because I could never imagine that a dream could be so "real". Now that I learned that, I am very EXCITED!!!!

Now I fully understand the reality checks and that I should do them often, because the dreams are so real that I could be dreaming even right now (OK, I checked, not dreaming now ).

Just a big THANK you to all.

      This is great!

Ooops, a mistake, my answer to "if I am dreaming" was

"of course I am NOT dreaming, this is too "real" to be a dream".

I forgot to put the NOT .

First step. But a sweet one. Hope you enjoyed it. I was always thinking i am non visualiser, but dreams are so vivid. The more you are awake, the more vivid they seem.

Cool. I see your next lucid to be close. Inbetween enjoy your non lucids and be diligent in recall building.

It's great to hear you're making progress. Keep it up and you'll be lucid dreaming in no time.

Your post made me reality check too...

Ever taken a statistics course? Your null hypothesis should be that you ARE dreaming. Your assumption when you reality check is that you are dreaming. You're not proving that you're dreaming, you are trying to prove that you're not. If you can't, then you're dreaming. Don't go in too much thought about it or your dream will transform itself so that it satisfies your assumptions about reality.
