Even when lucid, I still heavily feel dream logic

My dreams are usually stressful and intense dreams. Often, they involve myself or somebody else being in danger (or it feels like they could be). Even when I'm lucid, and I say things like "it's just a dream, I can do whatever I want. It's not real", dream logic still applies to me quite heavily, and I feel like the people are real, or the danger is real, and I still lack quite some capacity to think. The problem is that when I believe danger is real, it doesn't leave me any time to collect my wits and take control.

      Any advice?

You're very very stupid when you are dreaming, there is no way around it. Your brain works differently, especially earlier in sleep. If you really want a lot more logic, try WILDs, you tend to be much smarter in them because you were awake when you went into them, so you have been thinking logically.

I know there are some tricks to stabilize dreams; are there any decent ones (or a thread) for "waking up" more in the dream?

All you have to do is KNOW you are dreaming ad you're in control, just stabilize a lot , and keep reminding yourself you're aware...
