When you say you can "see the position" you're sleeping in, do you mean from a third person perspective or just looking at yourself from lying on the bed?

To me, it sounds like you're experiencing sleep paralysis. This usually happens when you wake up during your REM stage of sleep. When you dream, your body tends to put your body in a state of paralysis so that you don't act out your dreams and stuff. This is handy when you're dreaming, but when you wake up during this, it can be kind of scary if you don't know what's going on. So if you wake up, and "see yourself" just lying on a bed unable to move, you might have woken up during this sleep paralysis. As for the radio thing, I'm sure you can awaken with sleep paralysis with your eyes closed.

Also, sometimes when you are experiencing sleep paralysis, although you're awake, you're not fully consious, so you might start having hallucinations. Luckily you haven't experienced that. If you ever do, however, just make sure to tell yourself it's only a dream, and that no harm will come by it. You seem to have already mastered being able to tell it's a dream, so I'm sure you'll do just fine. Don't frustrate yourself in trying to wake yourself up too hard; it might take a while for your body to adjust from the paralysis to a normal state. How long, I'm not quite sure, but I'm sure you can find more information online.

      Hope this helps! =3

I think if you learn to calm yourself down and expect it, you can use it to get Lucids... kind of like a super quick WILD. Maybe calm yourself down and just go with it, continuously remind yourself you'll be fine, and then try to visualize and go from there. Some sort of VILD sounds in order here. Give it a shot

I have calmed myself down but would rather just wake up because most of mine are scary ones, and i have slipped back into then instantly if i go back to sleep, like the one where someone was breaking in to the apartment i knew it was a dream the second time because the shadows in the room were different to when i was awake like it was a different time of the night or something, the street lights cast a shadow in the room and when i slipped back into the dream i was dreaming that i was looking around the room and noticed some things were different like the wardrobe was moved then i knew i was dreaming but could hear the foot steps coming to the door again this time it was my brother who unfortunately died 10 years ago so he was calling me from outside i got all excited forgot it was a dream couldnt believe he was alive and then it turned nasty again it was like i had been tricked again into thinking this was real when infact i knew i was dreaming but got tricked....so it wasnt my brother it was like a spirit who tricked me into thinking it was my brother so i would allow him in or something then i got a body rush and started to try to wake myself up again heavily breathing freaking out the only way i can wake myself up is if i say ok im dying just go with it and then i wake up.......... its as if im afraid to die and these dreams test me to a stage where i say ok accept it and just die then i wake up............

Lots of info on SP here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis

Some tips I've learnt from my experiences with sleep paralysis:

If you're extremely frightened, having hallucinations etc. and really want to wake up, move your eyes from side to side very quickly. This always wakes me from SP.

On the other hand, if you want to experiment with using SP as a way to enter a lucid dream, I would advise closing your eyes, concentrating on the feelings in your body, then get up out of bed and walk about a bit in your room, keeping your eyes closed, maybe reach out and try to touch a wall or door. Then open your eyes and do a reality-check. You will most likely be standing in a dream-representation of your bedroom, and you should become lucid.

SP can be very scary but once you start seeing it as a way to become lucid, it's not so bad. You might even start looking forward to it.
