I was in a lucid dream that was really abstract. I was normal but was stuck in a world that was white with floating planes of colors, like an abstract painting. Was really annoying. Can't have much fun messing with colored planes. Took a bit of concentration to restore things back to normal.

I've done it lots of times, but it's a bummer because you can't get into the dream. Better than not being lucid, but I'd rather be in it than watch it like a movie, or be stuck in my body unable to get out.

I've managed to flip between 1st and 3rd person before. That was pretty cool, until my DC died whilst I was in 3rd person, so I could no longer go back into 1st.

A lot of my dreams are 3rd-person. I don't enjoy them as much as 1st person dreams. I've only had one lucid dream, where I was lucid for less then a second, but I was 1st person in that dream.

I've had a few LDs in 3rd person. Interesting, but not as much fun as 1st person LDs, in my mind.

I would agree , I've had it happen to me also and it's more like watching a movie. Thats the best way to describe it, just like watching TV of something. Though, sometimes it's interesting because you get to observe and see things from the whole perspective.

      TV

interesting how everybody describes third person dreaming/LDing like watching tv.
I mean it makes perfect sense. For all of you who have said that it is like TV, would you say it is just similar in concept to watching television or does it feel like television? Do you think that function of your dream mind is literally sparked by tv in everyday life?

has anybody experienced 3rd person dreaming who does NOT watch tv, play video games, or see movies often?
