How do you guys do it?

i know this question seems broad, but how did you (LD masters) master Lucid dreaming? like when was the transition between getting them once per 1 month or so, to getting them all the time? And how long did it take you to master Lucid Dreaming from starting? I'm feeling kinda frustrated that i cant get any LDs at a faster rate. i just have them randomly, and there doesnt seem to be a pattern in it at all.

im not an LD master, but i want to say something anyway

there are two classifications of a LD. DILD and WILD. Most people think they are techniques to get a lucid dream. They are not. They are just a classification.

i noticed that your sig says all your LDs so far were DILDs. any technique that is a DILD is pretty random, and unless you are a natural at it, it cant really be mastered very easily. If you are not a natural, the best way to become a LD master is to try a WILD techique like the traditional WILD technique, DEILD, FILD , V-WILD, or the rest of them out there. WILD techniques can be mastered much easier than DILD techniques. Though keep in mind that WILD techniques are also harder to learn than DILD techniques. So it will take alot of dedication and practice to master them.

      so thats my two cents
      Total lucid dreams=88

      Hey there,

Regardless of what technique you use, in my opinion getting to a point where you have a high frequence of dreamawareness requires you to change your 'lifestyle' habbits. Basically, it requires you to give dreams an 'important' place in your life.

Like freefire said, unless you're a natural, that's not so easily done. It's a slow process, but it can be done. Learn to pay attention to your dreams (to all of them, not just the lucid ones), learn to value your dreams. Learn to get good consistent sleep patterns, learn to identify your dreamsymbols, your dream-signs, and above all... stick with it.

Consistency, perserverance and patience are very important things. Paying attention to your dreams, learning their value, and being able to go to sleep just with the feeling of 'yay, I can go dream again' are in my opinion the most important aspects. Combine the two, and in time I'm sure you will begin to see results with an ever increase dreamawareness.

      Just my 2 cents,

      -Redrivertears-

I've always had LDs as a child, but only like a couple of times a week, it is only once I started reading up on the techniques that I learned the patterns and now I can do about 3 WILDS most nights.

to the LD masters: would you say you were happier after you learned how to LD at will, then before you could LD?
as if you corrected something in your waking life (which made you more happy) resulting in LDs.

The speed at which you start lucid dreaming regularly depends on how much you put into it. You have to think about lucid dreaming often, and as Redrivertears said, it depends on what priority you give dreams in your life.

I've just gotten DILDS so far. I'm working on WILD though.
You do this every fucking time.

Just learning how to be very observant and being able to tell the difference between reality and false reality. Once you get there you can have lucid dreams at will even with a DILD technique since you can see dreamsigns. I'm not there yet, I usually have one every third day or so, but now I'm in a dry spell

Attempted WILD again last night, but I was too tired and just wanted to crash.

You have to get used to that, the only time that I can WILD is when I'm sooo tired that it hurts.

Well, im definately not ld master. I dont even want to ld. Dont even think it is strange. No its not
First, is that you must understand something..then you can try to ld.Reading about ld, and then reading some techniques, and doing it..wont help.Everything is upon you, not on the techniques.

      rougext22 is full of crap.

Read up and learn. Find a technique that feels right and give it a go. If that doesn't work out try another.

I'm no master at lucid dreaming but have had a lot of lucid dreams. The only thing to do is learn and practice.

The technique I started out with to have a WILD is the HIT technique in the tutorials section. I think it took me a few weeks before I got it right.

I'm kinda half way between you and rouge, yes look up techniques to help you with wilds, and screw around with the dilds until you find something that works for you. I barely do anything to to lucid dream but keep a dream journal, and about 20% of my remembered dreams are lucid.

The reason I said rogue is full of crap is because he has been posting the same basic thing in his most recent posts. It's not advice. It's him telling people who have asked for advice that they don't need advice. If they didn't need advice they wouldn't be here asking for it.

I have just started but my favorite so far is WILD because you can see yourself going into the dream and if you get "Night Hag'ed" then you can use that for practice not to get over-excited (maybe, i panic) I am not good at transitioning though and when I do get into a dream I will forget to RC until the end...my RC was seeing a wet rug turn dry i was a like then "What the hell, im dreaming, screw this" I walk away and then wake up

Practice makes perfect, I dont want to DILD because I am more likely to forget what to do, which I did last night...

Just my 2 cents, I still have yet to perfect it but I can recall 2-5 dreams dependant on how much I have a night too, so im pretty good on Dream Recall

I remember only 1 dream every night, and it's usually fragmented and unclear.
I do keep a dream journal but it doesn't improve my recall. I've had 2 LD's in my entire life, the last one was 2 months ago. Dunno what I can do to improve it

I guess determination is the key.
      Current projects:
      -Acquire the Aurora
      -Test galatamine, huperzine and choline
-Find smartwatch app for RC reminders at certain intervals
-Ressurect my dream log here, and become more active

No, actually remembering is the key.
Keeping a dream journal is only a supplementary aid. It won't raise your recall level. What will do so is putting effort every time you wake up into browsing through the thoughts currently in your mind and finding the ones that are dream memories.

Just like eating healthy food and exercising go hand in hand to build muscle, the healthy food is supplementary and won't increase your muscle mass without the exercises.

Srsly. I'm getting sick of reading Rogue's ultimately unhelpful, broken english responses to honest questions. It seems every thread I go in, hoping to learn something I may have missed about WILD, he's there, saying, in effect, "I know more than everyone here. I know more than everyone who has strived to tailor a technique to their own body and get results from it. I know the deep secrets of LD'ing and you don't."

Go toot your own horn someplace else. I think a ban is in order.

In dreams of unspeakable joy—of restored friendships; of revived embraces; of love which said it had never died; of faces that had vanished long ago, yet said with smiling lips that they knew nothing of the grave; of pardons implored, and granted with such bursting floods of love, that I was almost glad I had sinned—thus I passed through this wondrous twilight. —George MacDonald

What's the betting that roguext22 has never had an LD?

      Odds on, I reckon..

He sure does seem to like trolling as well..

He said he's NOT an LD master. And I don't blame him for his english, because mine sucks too.
But I guess you are right when you say he never says anything useful.

Banning him would be a little bit...extreme I think.

I've heard WILD is mostly a myth anyway, can anyone clear that up?
