      Help Wanted!!!

So after all this time and no Lucids or recall, I am looking for whatever I can get, lol.

On a more serious note, I was wondering if some of you that are expert LDer's can tell me your process on a nightly basis. The methods that work best for you (WILD, MILD, DILD, etc.), what you drink before sleep, the position you sleep in, some induction methods, etc.....anything you think can help me. I will be sleeping at about 11:30pm (GMT -06:00) Central Time (US & Canada) but please dont stop if that time has passed.

Thank you guys for all the help!!

If I were you I would set my alarm for ramdom spots in the night, to try to be woken straight from a dream. This would help you in your recall.

Try BillyBob's How To Lucid Dream Tutorial. It worked for me. But beware, it's a long read.

I've never had one. I've only been doing this for 3 nights. But I've almost had one twice.
Here's some pointers. Use the Wake back to Bed Method. Picture yourself being Lucid While Falling Asleep. DONT WANT IT TOO MUCH. Last night I came super close for the second time, I got real excited. So excited, I woke myself up.

Read it already. I was actually just looking for more natural methods and things individuals do that help them. Most of the tutorials I read are meant to work for anyone. I just want to see what some people do that they know works for them. Expert LDers know what works for them and hopefully I can adopt someone elses method and use this for myself

I'm not a real expert but I will tell you what I do. Every night when I am actually trying to lucid dream while falling asleep I will have the intention of remembering my dreams and having a lucid dream. I also write in my dream journal every day. I also know that lucid dreaming is easy to achieve, like billy bob. I rarely do reality checks in real life, only after I know I'm dreaming, to confirm that I am.

What I am saying is pretty much go with what billy bob is saying, its the best way to try and achieve lucid dreaming. Don't try to stop a lucid dream by thinking it is hard.

I think billy's idea is very natural, the part about knowing lucid dreaming is easy and all the part I read until he started to talk about techniques. I didn't read the whole thing

      Good luck

Well, since I have an average of over 3 LDs per night, I guess I'm an "expert." But I'm also a natural, so I don't know how much help I might be. But here you go:

Lucidity is all about a state of mind -- how you look at the world, even when you are awake. This is going to sound a little crazy, and it probably is, but this is how I do it.

All you need is a whopping heap of cynicism and a little self-discipline. This is suprisingly easy to do. Just question EVERYTHING. Does your vioce sound the same today as it did yesterday? Do you really remember locking your door, or do you just think you do? Are you sure you're not hallucinating right now?? Are you dreaming now? How do you know? Do things look, sound, feel, taste, and smell right?

Develop constant vigilance to check reality.

Accept nothing as "reality" without first proving to yourself that it is real. A lot of the time you won't know what is real or not, but just keep going, acting, and eventually you will develop this inate "sense" for what is real and what is not. When you are awake, you will usually know it. When you are asleep you will usually know it. Because you will have developed that ability to "sense" reality that is inate in so many "natural LDers."

The second part is just as important. It is to think about dreams, and lucidity ALL the time. Whenever your mind is idle it should automatically first turn to thoughts about dreams and LDs. Become focused on dreams and LDs.

Thirdly, and this is also important, get enough sleep. Figure you need about 8 hours per night. So, if you party all night on Saturday, you'd better spend Sunday making up your missed sleep hours. I have almost ZERO lucid dreams when I don't get enough sleep.

Fourth, keep a damn dream journal. I can't stress this enough. Even if you can't remember anything except the impression that you dreamed, write it down! Some of the entries in my DJ go, "Something about traveling." "Was in school. Hated it." "Felt afraid." "?? Don't remember, but dreamed." If your rememer anything write it down!!!

Then (if this works for you the same as it works for me) you will start having DILDs a lot. After a while of just DILDs you'll start having success with other methods.

There, hope my weird way of LDing helps.
