Some Days Are Better Than Others

Despite the fact that I am constantly trying to induce lucid dreams throughout the week, I never seem to have LD's on monday, tuesday, wednesday, or thursday. On Friday nights, for the past two months and a week, I am 7 for 9. On weekdays, I can only remember having an LD once or twice. Although I do get 2-4 hours less sleep on weekdays (due to school), are there any ideas as to how I could improve my LD rate on weekdays, instead of only having them on nights when I can sleep in?

Sure, it might be that you never have any lucid dreams on some days because you get less sleep, and when you have small amount of sleep, it is so much harder to get one in.
However, it is not that great to have an opinion that you would not have any LDs on school days, it will just make you not expect any after a certain amount of time...
Well, this has been a thread that hasn't been written on for a long time, so hope you changed and had more lucid dreams since then on weekdays too, especially when it's summer and it's break time...
Maybe you can sleep in earlier by not doing "choice activities" after everybody goes to sleep?

erm... I have no idea what you're talking about. Hahahaha!

To be serious a second, getting little or poor quality sleep will have a big effect on your ability to recall your dreams and to have LDs. I suggest maybe an earlier bed time. Try an alarm that is something "gentle" like music. I suggest this since I know my dream recall flies out the window every time the ol' annoying alarm starts screetching in the morning. Try to set your alarm a little early, so you will have time to write some dream notes or to do a full DJ entry (which ever works for you in the AM).

Is that a given? That if you're a male, then you are doing "choice activities?"

I would have never thought that some days are better than others...I remember I had that state of mind once upon a time, but I quickly did something about that shit: rewired my state of mind. it works (seriously), look into it.

Why not sleep for the same amount of time every night? Or, even better, sleep and wake at the same time every night? I know it sounds crazy, but it's not too hard to accomplish. It'll make Mondays and Tuesdays suck way less, and you'll have more time on the weekends to get stuff done. There are loads of benefits that go with this, both in dreaming and physiological well being. Circadian rhythm is science, man.
