How long did it take for your dreams to move?

I moved a year and a half ago from Philly to Houston (which is my first move ever) and I noticed just recently that my dreams finally take place in my new life. For a long time my dreams would take place in my old school, house, etc, but they seem to finally have moved to Houston with me. I wonder if this means I finally subconsciously accepted the transition.

Has anyone else noticed this? How long did it take your dreams to move with you?

Hah. I've moved so often, my mind catches up quickly, though instances of old places still pop up. Imagine dreaming of an aquaintance you last met seven years ago! My home and room often look like a different year as well. It's been roughly a year since my last move, and 90% of my dreams occur in the present.

Though it'd probably be much different for you, considering you've only moved once. Must be nice...

I'm glad you brought this up, because this is something I have been thinking about also.

I have lived in my current house for 5 years. I can only think of one dream that I have had that takes place in this house.

I lived in the place before that for nearly 10 years. I ocassionally dream about that place, but not much.

The houses that show up the most in my dreams are my childhood house and my grandparent's house (that I visited a few weeks every year).

I have wondered why I hardly ever dream about my more recent places of residence. Maybe it's because the other houses represent the more magical times of my youth, and my mind prefers that.

So to answer your question, my dreams still haven't moved after many years.

I moved away when I was very young, and I have never remembered having a dream where I used to live. Your age probably affects it.
