My Dad does. He's a natural LDer, and I had my first LD the night after he told me about him doing it.

He doesn't practice it, though and only has one every couple months. He thinks that it's pretty cool that I do.

None of my family does. My grandma doesn't even think it's real: "You read about it on the internet....hmm". The rest of my family doesn't really care.

My mother says she has them from time to time, but its still not something I openly talk with my parents about. She has them allegedly, but talking about it usually falls on deaf ears or gets me weird looks nonetheless, so I don't.

my family thought I was so weird when I told them about it. They give me this "you're stupid" look every time I mention it, so I try to keep it to myself. Kind of sucks. But my best friend tries to do it, although he hasn't done it yet. At least he doesn't think I'm weird because of it

Antiflag, your two comments have been, "thats awesome man," and, "that sucks man."

      At least you're consistent.

If you think he's spamming, your post is spam too, then. But it doesn't matter, this isn't some post count popularity contest, and let's not make it one (I've been to some forums where it was, it's horrible).

Well, to add on, my brother was starting to try and lucid dream, but I think he's embarrassed to keep a dream journal and do reality checks, and all that. He's mostly done with it because he doesn't know what it's like. Any way I can encourage him?

Everyone thinks I'm insane when I told them about LDing, except for my Mom who naturally does it sometimes. (meaning, she doesn't intentionally LD.)

I just found out, about a month ago, that my grandma does. She said she knew all about dream control, MILDs, WILDs and DILDs, (without knowing the terms or acronyms) and she was really caught up in it for a while. Later, she got lazy with it and stopped practicing.

My mom was interested in it, when I started talking to her about it, but then she saw Vanilla Sky, and asked me if that was what it was like. I told her that "more or less, yeah," and she's like "Nah, that seems a little intense for me. I can hardly remember my dreams now, and there's probably just too much up there that I don't want to have to deal with." Lol.

I know my sister does, and we talk about funny dreams and the like most some mornings.

I don't know about my Dad, but I am pretty sure he does. He used to sleepwalk like me, he talks in his sleep like me, and generally he and I sleep in the same way. This plus the fact that he his sleep is very segmented only makes the chances of getting lucid better.

As for my Mom, I just asked her and she said yes (as is it were obvious). She said she tends to get lucid, wake up, and hope that she can continue the dream when she gets back to sleep, which she usually does. She said it is easy for her.

So yeah, I can pretty confidently say my whole family lucid dreams. This isn't too weird though, several of my friends have them naturally, and one or two have had them since I told them about it. I sometimes wonder where some of you guys live that people haven't heard of lucid dreaming, don't know what it is, or even worse don't believe it exists.

I have only met one person who knew what a lucid dream was. And even she couldn't really do them.
      Bollocks.

My Uncle got me into lucid dreaming around September 2003. Ironically before I heard him talking about it I had a lucid dream while sleeping on the trip to my grandparents' house. I jumped on the chance and he told me all about it.

Some Internet research revealed Dreamviews. My brother lucid dreams now, too. I've told both about this site and neither have joined. Both my mom and dad know about it.

my dad naturally began as a teen, and practiced it. I think he was wilding. But then someone told him it was evil so he stopped. He always used to tell us what he did, and I believed, but i thought you either had the ability or didn't. then I found dreamviews and found out its learnable, so now i'm lding. I've ttold my sister, and she believes me, we talk about dreams. But she doesn't really want to try because it might be scary. And i am scared in some of my lds
