"Still up high I'm strong enough to take these dreams and make them mine" -Scott Stapp
He's actually got it backwards though, the body falls asleep before the mind... the mind is never asleep. Its always alert and aware of your surroundings. Thats why you can wake up when you hear noises, see bright lights, feel sudden movements. |
|
Oh, I'm not doubting the mind isn't aware of its surroundings; it would have to be in order to preserve the perpetuation of our species (otherwise the lions could have easily eaten us in our sleep way back when). |

Well, I set my alarm for a few hours later to try again, but truth be told, I just wasn't motivated to get out of bed XD |

"Men cry not for themselves, but for their comrades."
However, most 'scratching' sensations and urges are merely an attempt of the brain to make up some busy work for you to do. When you're attempting to stay conscious whilst ignoring sensory input, your mind feels a need to fabricate sensory input to keep a hold of reality. |

I attempted WILD last night. I woke up around 6:00 AM, and as I tried to fall asleep, I caught myself just before I fell asleep. My body was extremely relaxed. After a minute of laying there, I seen some Hypnogogic Imagery, just a small blue bird. After another minute, I felt my feet start to tingle, and seen a little more imagery. After about 3 minutes of that, I felt my whole body start to Vibrate quite a bit, and then seen a whole wall of Images, just random things, and they started to spiral and shake violently. Combined with the Vibrations I was feeling, I got a little freaked for a moment, and told myself what was happening, and after a minute of that, not passing into the dream, I grew tired of it and just Forced Myself up, and then went to sleep. |
