      LDs and my guitar

Alright everyone im really getting into lucid dreaming. Im really determined. I love playing my guitar and was wondering if anyone had any ideas of ways to learn my guitar skills in dreams in ways I couldn't do by just practicing while im awake?

If you play scales, then in your dreams play Faster and really concentrate on where you put you finger.

depending how well and what you play, basically play what you play in waking life. Don't play something that you definitely could not in play in real life, but play without struggling.
      You loose yourself, you reappear
You suddenly find you got nothing to fear
Alone you stand with nobody near
When a trembling distant voice, unclear
Startles your sleeping ears to hear
That somebody thinks they really found you.

Just practice what you usually practice. I remember someone here who concentrated at his guitar playing when he was at work. He "mentally" practiced guitar when he was at work and eventually got better at playing it for real. That was pretty cool.

If it really does work, you could practice both in real life and in lucid dreams. Is time the same in lucid dreams? I mean, could you practice for hours in an LD, but in real life you're only dreaming for a couple of minutes?

Theskit, you can definately practice a skill or study something in a lucid dream (anything is possible while you're lucid).

Depending on the intensity of your lucidity.. yes, you could even practice the guitar but whether you would be playing it authentically (i.e., the correct method/fingering) if you don't know how in "wake" life is doubtful.

If your recall of the dream is good, then the feeling will definately stay with you after you wake up.

I go Kerry King in my dreams. Playing the guitar in my dreams doesn't require any skill; I'm just wailing on the thing and whatever I think comes out.

Artixknight and Theskit.. a good place to practice guitar is by participating in "Guitar Wars" in the DV forum "The Lounge". You'd be very welcome. Check out this week's task in the thread "Guitar Showdown Anyone?"
