If there is someone in your dreams that is there a lot (like a friend, family member, or some other DC), couldn't you ask them to remind you that you're dreaming? Like you become lucid one night and find someone that you see a lot in your dreams. Then you demand that they remind you that you're dreaming every time they see you. They're a part of your subconcious and whatnot, so couldn't it possibly work? Then every time you dream and they're there, they tell you that you're dreaming and you become lucid.
I can't really articulate the mental aspect of it, but I'm sure you get what I'm saying.

I think this is more of a VILD job. You condition your mind to dream up the DC to tell you your dreaming. But like you say..while in the lucid dream, I don't think it'll work because the DC isn't real although it is the subconcious, it is unstable. Most likely it will become a VILD becuse you will kepp thinking about it and dream the same dream.

Sure, why not? I've had DCs promise me lucidity before. One asked me (in a non lucid) if I lucid dream, which then made me lucid. She then flew me over the ocean and stuff.

Ask your dream characters, and believe them. They might help you in the form of a flying teapot, or perhaps by inducing a teeth-falling dream, or by writing the words "reality check" on your shirt, and so on and so forth. What I'm saying is, they might not appear as the person/creature that you asked, but asking a dream character still yields results.

That's genius - I'm sure it would ONLY work if you believed it would though. In dreams we tend to see what we expect to see, so if you don't think it will work, it probably won't. However, if you DO believe it would work, and tell a DC to remind you to do a RC every time you see them then I think there's a high chance your subconcious would remember that and it would work...
