      You could still find other ways to relax apart from sleeping. Option a: doesn't necessarily mean that you would have to be living hectically for all 24 hours. That would be nasty. An example, instead of going to sleep last night I watched 3 movies and read 2 short stories - I was stress free and chilled after that... granted, I am feeling pretty groggy now.

      no way! sometimes sleeping is the only way to escape sickness or the feeling of depression, etc. It just gives your mind a break from all the crap that happens. A lot of people think that sleeping is a waste of time, but I love sleeping, therefore it's not really a waste of time for me. Besides, even though some people say that lucid dreaming is a crappy makeup for the time you lose, I dont think it is, because when are you going to get the chance in real life to do a lot of the things you can do in lucid dreaming? For a lot of those things: never.
