Arent we just a strange bunch...

Ive been getting back into lucid dreaming after a long abscence following my first 3 or 4 (all of which were DILDS BTW). I dont know quite why i stopped, just got busy i guess. Anyways, im only posting this becuase I really want to know if anyone has any personal way for getting back into it after a dry spell, any personal techniques or something like that. I looked at the tutorial section but i didnt really seem much that i liked...

      Any Suggestions?

First off, why do you want to lucid dream? We all have our reasons, what's yours?

What was your last goal in lucid dreaming?

Yeah, knowing those answers could help, also, remembering past acheivements and the current desires of tasks you want to do can help.

We are a strange bunch... To end a dry spell, try setting your alarm to five hours after you fall asleep... You shouldn't have to do a WBTB method, just fall back to sleep...

      My reasons..

Well, so far as for "why do you want to lucid dream?" I cant really pinpoint a single decisive reason, so ill give a few,

1st. The idea of being inside ones own mind coupled with the freedom of exploration that this particular activity provides is just plain ausome

2nd. I want to do stuff thats impossible in real life (fly, breath underwater, blow up the moon, etc)

3rd. I was totally blown away after i had the first one...

As for "remembering past expieriences and setting goals" or whatever it is exactly that you said (since from the posting screen i cant see it)

The only significant thing that I have done so far is become lucid and go "Holy #*%# i are Lucid!" Then wake up 3 mins later....havent been able to fly but im trying...so i guess thats my next goal...

I hope ive answered everything since i have to go now, ill check back later to see what sort of responses i get

(oh and for some reason my account is being wierd and wont let me reply so since im so clever i pressed quote and then deleted the stuff)

*edit* nvm it lets me reply now.....wierd....

Well, it sounds like you have some of the best reasons to lucid dream!

What I think you should do now is pinpoint exactly what you want to do in your next lucid. Plan it out beforehand as you would a car trip, behaving and believing that it will really happen (you will become lucid). Once you pinpoint your goal, I think you'll find it easy to get hyped up about it. =)

Yeah, getting hyped up is the best thing, because after a bit, you won't even have to try to get hyped up, just thinking about it will make you hyped up. Imagining a new experience at times is enough to get me motivated~

Hey nibbles and back to Lucid Dreaming xD

I'd suggest going into a simulation of the time you learnt about Lucid Dreaming. Reading about it, getting excited, Reality Checking etc.

That, or you work on an wake-initiated technique (WILD, VILD etc).

Finally, oversleeping does wonders to Lucid Dreaming.
