Thread: Lucid Roleplaying? :0 (Insane/Silly)

Oh yeah of course I mean I'm willing to come up with the story and everything but of course to personalize things I figured you guys would like to give your own little backstories first so that I can work with that, like the -how- and the -why-, I'ma be needing that lol.

Ok, in that case: Sahak came to ...*whetever this place is called* because his last job didn't go well. He was trying to steal back a personal item he lost in a bet, but had painful flashbacks of some unknown past. He was distracted and got caught. The man who saw him had a gun, however when Sahak turned around he saw a face from a flashback. The man lowered his gun with a horrified look on his face, and let Sahak go. Sahak moved to *insert world name again* so he could figure out what happened. However, he still "practices" his skills.

lol, sorry for the lengthy reason. I'm getting really into this. It sounds very similar to the Bourne Identity, though. Oh well.

Ceonsamea travels, never stopping in one place, he would just pass by, allways looking for new obsticles, new challenges to hone his skills. Eventually he arrived here. With forests, grasslands, mountains, caves a village and a city theres plenty of variety in terrain, a large area to travel and many challenges. He has stopped in (world name) for quite some time now, still more to explore.

Right, I'll add these to the database which I'm currently putting together.
Skeptikalz will make the story I am guessing, and when it's done it will be put in a new thread. I'll continue writing it... There's alot to be put up.

I like the name "Avalon" from that page on Mythical Places. It doesn't sound too "out there", and I can picture it as a land of both magic and science. What do you guys think?

Remember, this is a name for the land that Maeni drew. It is not the whole world. As far as you know, it could be the province of a greater empire, etc..

Maeni also came up of a nice idea that can be worked with... Dreamwalkers vs. Nightstalkers. I will let him elaborate on that.

as for the Dreamwalkers vs. Nightstalkers, I don't rememebr seeing Maeni say that, I must have missed it, and I'm note sure what is meant by that, so I will be waiting to see when Maeni elaborates on it

About the Dreamwalkers vs Nightstalkers. I was thinking the story could be that. We are the Dreamwalkers (or just someone from the world) and Nightstalkers have invaded the world to destroy and do whatever Nightstalkers does. So the Dreamwalkers, us, have been called by people who were able to go to other worlds. (AP?) They found us and is now asking for help. The Nightstalkers are gaining much power from the innocent of Avalon. Maybe they will expand to other lands of that world! Perhaps they will come to our very own Reality world!

So, in this story, we would all be aware that we are from another world, and so willt he people (we come fromtreality and go into their world to defed them?).

What exactly is a dream stalker? Some form of etheral being, the people cant see it, or they can't harm it? And the reason they need us is because we can directly engage them in battle, because we are all able to travel from words and into their 'reality'? That is just my guess, you will have to explain exactly what a dreamstalker is. (Initially I thought someone/thing that appears in multiple dreams, but how would that apply in this scenario?)

Well, I don't think we all have to be Dream Walkers, we could also just be people from Avalon. You choose when creating the character I would guess. But you can't be the Night Stalkers.

To quickly sum it up:
Dream Walkers are people that enter other peoples dreams, but these are the 'good guys'
Night Stalkers are people that enter other peoples dreams to, eh... I'm not exactly sure what people think these mysterious people get from doing it, but they scare people in their dreams. Get their attention and make it into a nightmare.

It's a Beyond Dreaming thing.

I've messaged Maeni on a possible backstory concerning the Dreamwalkers/Nightstalkers thing, and with some general questions.

If everything looks good and in order, we will continue with only a few things left to do before we get this party started.

I was thinkin' maybe there were these creatures threatening the kningdom(I don't care if they're Nightstalkers or not) and only we can defeat them because of some mesterious advantage we have from existing in real life.

And for the map, instead of "Space Left" you should say "Unexplored Territory."

EDIT: I didn't see your post, InsaneKid, but I don't have LD's that often either. I'm almost using it to get me more excited.

Yeah, on the character bio we could add a section for special abilities. Damn, this is gonna be fun if it gets started.

OK, character bio . . .

Name: Lucifer Wolfgang
Age: 24
Description: Long hair, and gives a general look of 'furryness.' He's a werewolf (hope that's allowed) and when he's in wolf form he doesn't look like a half wolf , half man but an actual, large wolf.

Powers: Ability to shapeshift into a wolf obviously. But it doesn't just happen at full moon, he can control when he goes into a wolf and when he's human.

History: Lived as a boy in the city when he was bitten by a werewolf. He travelled out into the countryside and has lived there ever since, to isolate himself from people to bite.

Weapons: When in wolf form he uses his claws and teeth. When in human form he uses a crossbow for long range. He is excellent at hand to hand combat.

Personality: Due to the constant struggle between man and wolf and his isolation he's gone a bit insane. Despite this, he knows you don't go around killing people and torturing people. He has no problems with betraying people but he will never side with evil.

Did I hear somewhere that magic was alloud? If so, good.

Character Bio:
Name: Thagen Pinch
Age: 17
Appearence: A taller figure, but a bit thin looking. Has short brown hair, but that is usually covered by a dark blue hood that not only covers his head, but shades most of his face. He carries a wooden staff and usually is dressed in loose dark blue clothing and cape.
Character: Thagen is the quiet type and only speaks when he has something worth saying. He is a wizards apprentice and thus can use magic, though it is usually week. Even so, what knowledge he has he uses wittily and can usually outthink an opponent in a fight, and use his magic to destract and flee. Overall, not nearly the best fighter, but extremely difficult to kill.
History: Thagen was given over to a wizard in order to be tought the ways of magic until the age of 21. At about twelve years of age, his entire family was killed by (dnow by what yet, depending on the way we take this story) and left the wizard as his only family.

Edit: Wow, that didn't turn out at all how I wanted. XD Eh well.

Cool with the new characters, we're also very close to being ready for putting up the final thread. That's where the hard stuff begins.

I'll have to ask though, everyone with a character...
