Thread: Let's Break reality, K?

how do you know what is really irrational and what is not?
that is the true question.
maybe the only reason it's irrational to people now is because it seems too "impossible" and hasn't been tested enough to see real results.

This is my first reply in this forum and I'm already derailing the thread . Sorry, it's not my intention. If you want to move this to another thread, or something, just say so.

First of all, we don't know what is rational and what is not.. It could be different for everyone. There could be an alien race billions of miles away that sees things in a totally different way than we do. But that doesn't mean we should adopt their way of thinking, does it? Who am I to say what is rational? Who are you to say it? What we see as rational, whether it is a universal rationality or not, is the best thing we've got. So, we better work with it. Change for the sake of change will only set us back.

I believe anythings possible, It just hasn't been achieved yet.

I like the idea that one could develop such powers in the mind and then transfer them to reality, but my rational mind tells me that isn't possible. However, the world is a strange place so who knows...

And that's where I was trying to come from!
although, if one could obtain such a power, they would have to be sure not to share it..Imagine if that got into the wrong hands?

Fun idea. But I'm not sure I would want superpowers in real life. I'd feel so responsible for everything! I would feel like I should spend all my time helping others.

I've felt like that before, and belive me it is NOT a happy or healthy place to be mentally. But if someone was to approach me and say they could make it happen for me I would have a hard time turning them down because I would sacrafice myself to make the world better....sorry sort of went off on a tangent there.

The matrix is like real life, this is very true! But I think you can only change your perception.

When you dream, you control the dreamworld around you and thats how you experience things.

IRL, the world around you, is also a dream, but this dream is based on real sensory inputs.

I do believe tho, that you can also manipulate the real life dream. I've done it before. If I stare a long time at something, I can make red dots appear, which turn into infrared lines after a while. Open eye visualisations, it's hard to make them appear, but if I get distracted they dissapear just like that. (And this is not on drugs, but after some sort of meditation. Some drugs like shrooms and LSD also show you how real life is actually a dream)But, even when you can manipulate the real life dream, you're the only one who can see your dream. Other people see their own real life dream.

Exactly look at spiderman...........he helps people out and they hate him, thanks to a certain media mogul.
