Dreams never feel quite real for me. There's always something missing or a bit off. But I can think just as clearly as I would in reality depending on the dream, except that my short-term memory isn't nearly as good. |

I was just reading about how would people feel when LD'ing, and it got me thinking about how lucid people can get In a Dream and how concious about the dream can we be when Awake. I know recall of a dream is important but how Real a dream can get while lucid that we can feel we were "In the dream" and in control of the dream. |

It can be different, I've had dreams that I'm so detached I can feel myself sleeping. I've also had a couple dreams where it feels just like real life. Maybe try different foods, theres a thread somewhere here about foods that affect vividness. |

Every dream I've had always had that dreamy, kind of fuzzy feeling to it, even if they were like real life. |

This guy,, and this guy,
, are mine. BACK OFF!
same as Mua'dib , sometimes its very faint, and i can feel my real body. other times its as real as being awake. and it can be anywhere in between. the ones that are the most real usually happen very early in the night, by morning they seem to be losing vividness. |

"If you realize Sunyata (the void), compassion will arise within your hearts; and when you lose all differentiation between yourself and others, then you will be fit to serve others." - Milarepa
I actually notice that I'm sleeping and notice that I'm waking up.... I have to will myself not to wake up actually so it takes the mystery away from the dream really quickly. |

yeah, i'm kind of like snowy egypt. My lucids can feel real and I have complete control, but there's always that "dreamy" feeling to it. |

I haven't had one of those really real and vivid LDs in a long time. My last LD felt a little fuzzy just like most normal dreams do. |

Nice marmot
Thought in lucid dreams varies. In some LDs, mugginess of dreams cannot be helped--it's just how your brain is functioning. In others, the clarity in dreams is perfect. In some LDs, the memory is functioning as well. These are the best dreams, because they enable you to follow through with whatever goal you set. I've had dreams with perfect realism, where thought and setting are highly stable and true to life. These dreams are the rarest, but the best. |
