This doesn't really make sense. If you were in a dream and you realized that you were in a dream, then you were lucid.

Just because you became lucid at one point in the dream doesn't mean that you stayed lucid throughout the entire dream. Not only is it possible to forget that you're dreaming (we call it losing lucidity), it's actually very common. Another thing to consider is that a lot of the time when we're lucid, we're "not all there." We do things which we wouldn't do in waking life (beyond the obvious ones like flying). Finally, while many newbies view lucidity as either true or false - you are or you aren't - the fact is there is a whole range of levels of lucidity. I won't say much beyond that regarding levels of lucidity since it has been discussed to death in other threads (try using the search function to find some of them).
My point is that there are a number of reasons why you would do strange, uncharacteristic things in a lucid dream. And for the record, it's not possible to have a normal dream about being lucid without actually being lucid. If you're in a dream, and you know that you're in a dream, then you're lucid - period. Not all lucid dreams are grand, epic, mind-blowing affairs. In fact, most aren't.
