      Beginner.

My Friend has been telling me about lucid dreaming and I registered here and read for a bit for the past days and decided to give it a shot last night.

Well I started getting numb and getting falling sensations. I also was told to not swallow or it will mess it up so I didnt. I felt numb everywhere and started to feel I was moving like in a wave pool and getting random images poping up. I than swallowed a couple times messing this process up for a bit. I started this at 3 am and was doing this till 6 this morning...I have been tired all day. Do you think I did the right thing?

Any tips? Also does food or anything help you get more into a lucid dream and how can you tell if your in one? I was really wondering because last night I couldnt tell if I was dreaming or not...How can I tell?

Thanks Guys and For all the help!

This is the beginning of a WILD, or Wake-Initiated-Lucid-Dream. If you can help it (which you probably won't be able to), don't swallow. It you can't, then try to swallow without thinking about it. I think that's what messed you up.

Some members have had success with different types of food and other things like supplements.

Okay. To answer you last question, I can't tell you how it exactly how it feels because it's very hard to describe. You'll just know. Something will just click, and you'll know.

I think you should let it happen more natural since you are stressing your awake-time. I think you should try DILD's first due to they happen during a dream.

i would advice you to try to ask yourself if you are not really dreaming, even every time you feel absolutely sure you are awake. Try RC's to confirm you are dreaming or not... if you get to do this more frequently, there will be a time you will perform it during a dream, then enjoy it!
