      Thumbs up Back in business

      Hello all,

      or.. hello again

I joined this forum last year but left again somewhat quickly (managed to get 4 LD's before I left). I hope to stay a little longer this time as LD cought my interest again.

Anyway, I started to train some dream recall a few weeks ago and it helped quickly. I then tried to follow some different programs and tried out some techniques again to get into a routine. So last night I had an LD again ^^ A very short and bad one, but atleast I'm back in business again Well I did try something odd in it that I've never tried before. This is how the dream went for anyone that cares:

So it was in the morning and I was really, really tired (you know those times in the morning where you just wake up and go back to sleep instantly). I somehow managed to remember to try a FILD and yup... 3 seconds later I was being thrown into directly into an LD. The vision was very "muddy" and my control of the dream itself pretty bad. I found myself to be at somekind of plantation. A lot of trees in pretty rows on so forth. So I get up and as it was my first LD in a very long time, I didn't remember to do any kind of technique to help me stabalize the dream. Instead I just quickly got and and started to walk around always repeating to myself that I was dreaming so I didn't forget Anyway, this is where I tried an odd behaviour from the dream. In the short intervals where I didn't said I was dreaming, the dream would kinda misbehave and instantly start some kind of a storm (extremely strong wind starting) so I really had to work to stand still and not getting thrown around. It was like the dream didn't like that I was aware, because in the end I really had to yell out loud to the dream that I was dreaming. After this the dream faded away.

So I didn't manage to try much out, but atleast I got one again.

I wouldn't interpret the dream in that way if I were you. Your mind doesn't really care if you are lucid or not. It sees lucidity as a cue to wake up, nothing more (also causes false awakenings). If you're anxious it will happen again despite this logic, next time try telling the dream that you don't mean it offensively, and that you like dreams.

Anyway, I think you have many good lucids to come. I hope you stay with us longer this time! Welcome to Dreamviews again!

Well the thing is, I'm not anxious about my dreams, and I've never been. That's why this event in this case was a rare situation. Actually.. I've never tried it before so I don't know what it could have been. Last year I had 4 good lucid dreams before I left again, so I'm sure I can achieve it again!
