      Sleep Paralysis help

i went to bed at like 2am the other day and tried to go through sleep paralysis into a lucid dream straight away

i got to sleep paralysis and felt numb in my body, i remained like that for ages
and was just wondering how long it would take to finally get into a dream. i was waiting and waiting that i finally have given up

      thats the other thing
to give up n go toilet then get back to sleep normally i just kinda shook the numbness and opened my eyes and got up
it felt really weird though. it cannot be explained. it was sickening and maybe felt like pins n needles. i felt my heart beating fast and was dizzy when i got up. why aand is this a serious problem or dangerous?

finally last question n nothing to do with sleep paralysis. when u see those images while ur eyes are shut
if u focus on them they kinda fly in towards ya or fly out and become smaller like theyre flying away from u. what are they and could they be used to get into lucid dream?

You were probably concentrating too hard to drift off when you were attempting to WILD, if you try counting backwards from 100, or some mind numbing task, that can help a lot to cool down a working mind.

The crazy things you see are called Hypnogogic Imagery. I don't think they can be directly used to enter a lucid dream, however I believe they can be used as a marker so you can track your progress. As in, the more realistic and image like they get, the closer you are to a dream state.
      WILDs - 38
      MILD/DILDs - 44
      VILDs - 8
TILDs - 1 (Thirst Induced Lucid Dream, never going through that experience again...)
Total: 98 - So close to the big 100

You don't actually need to count.

If you just relax and keep thinking about what you would like to do in your dream, trying to produce visual images of the landscape etc in your mind, then soon enough you will be dreaming before you know it.

This method is much less stressful and also lets you choose the starting location for your dream.

      Yh

Just don't focus on the imagery or stress about having an LD.

You were doing everything right, but the next step is to fall asleep consciously.

The more you wish to have WILD, the less probable you make it.... For you it would be more productive if you knew the truth. You may have your first wild tomorrow, or in two years. So dont expect anything serious next night you are doing it. Believe me.... It helps.

i was wondering about those visions you get in SP as well. they are strange, i feel as if i should know what the images are, but there are to vague to make out clearly.
