Try floating a few feet above the ground first. I've had a bunch of lucid dreams, and I still can't fly very well. Just last night, I flew up into the clouds...and then nosedived right into the ground |
|
I had my second Lucid Dream the other night. It was really clear, vivid, and controled. I was able to teleport, as I was in my other lucid. But I couldn't fly. Any ideas why not, and any help? |

By far, Mothra (in all of it's forms) is the worst kaiju of all time.

i have the opposite problem of you. I can fly...most of the time. But i can't teleport. It just takes a little self confidence. Either that or do what allensig3654 said. teleport to a flying school. |

Sounds a little corny, but maybe you just gotta believe you can fly. Like do a running jump off a balcony or something, all the while thinking "I have the ability to fly." I'd like to test it out myself, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to WILD since last month... |

"Take atheism, for example. Not a religion? Their pseudo-dogmatic will to convert others to their system of beliefs is eerily reminiscent of the very behavior they criticize in the religious."
I dunno if you could fly with these but when I was young and had a ton of LD's I decided to put some flying shoes on and jump down my stairs. I glided down there but kept smaking my head on the roof. Ow. |

Ah, o.k. It might be easier to fly than you thought, if all you tried was closing your eyes! Sometimes in a dream, we can't overcome the cause-and-effect barrier. This doesn't mean you are weak-minded or anything, it just means you need to find the right cause to get the desired effect. In this case, closing your eyes may not be enough. Flying is most commonly associated with physical maneuvers, while teleporting is mental (so your mind will probably expect a physical maneuver to trigger flight instead of merely thinking about it). So perhaps all you need to do is try moving to fly, whether it is jumping or swimming. A running head-start works, too. You should be flying in no time! |

You can only do what you set your mind to believe. If you believe you can fly by running as fast as you can and then diving into the air- then it's fine. What you need to realize is that in your dreams, there is no need to waist time on some sort of practice which involve you trying to jump and fly. What you need to focus on is eliminating one obstacle that stops you from doing anything- and it's doubt. Once you enter the dream realm, you are open to infinite possibilities which can be taken away by your doubt. |

I had problems flying in dreams too, it took me a long time to finally figure it out. What finally worked for me was learning telekinesis, then using it on myself. That didn't work perfectly, but it did work, and like all things in dreams, once you've flown once, doing it again is much easier. |
|
Did you try swimming through the air? I do that, and can fly anywhere now. |
