I did. She says that its wonderful! I think she may try it. I told her how to WILD, and how to DILD. I hope she has time to do it, but she may not.

Yeah!!! I made sure to tell her the cold hard facts. And asked right out: Do you believe any of this? And she said yes! A hundred percent.

Just a Tad of advice: If you are to introduce her to DV, DON'T TELL HER YOUR USER NAME! She can read anything you write! That means no wet dream posts, no cussing, and NO WET DREAM POSTS. Trust me. I know. Fo-shizzles.

By far, Mothra (in all of it's forms) is the worst kaiju of all time.

Meh. I have this user name everywhere. Even on her and my other aunts digital scrapbooking site. (to talk to them and get advice on photoshop.) So I'd be screwed. Although honestly, I don't think she'd care at all. As long as I'm not talking about taking drugs or having actual sex. But I haven't introduced anyone to DV yet, including her. Although I made a collage for drama with the word lucid dreamer on it, and now MANY people are asking me about it. Most people seem to believe, but aren't interested. But a few are. I also saw some kids with a "Ask me about Crew!" shirts. I was thinking we could have a NATIONAL (or international) Lucid Dream Day where we wear shirts that say "Ask me about Lucid Dreaming!" Sure we'd get A LOT of skeptics, but it oculd help those fabled open minded people learn about this amazing phenemenon!

Meh. Most people at school just say something like "thats interesting!" and change the subject. :[

People seek out the words of the one who speaks least. There is some inherent value derived when one is less liberal with the dissemination of their teachings. If you are one of those who are quiet and content in your existence, people will seek you out and demand to know the source of your quiet wisdom.

Be reluctant to speak about it at first, and they will hardly be able to contain their desire for your knowledge.

Thus, the first step is to perfect your art.

Soon the people will flock. They always do.
An idea is something you haven't fully considered.
A belief is merely a repetitive thought.
A conclusion is simply where you stopped thinking.

I agree..I've told almost everyone i come in contact with about a dream or two, or the concept of Lucid Dreams and some care, and others just faintly giggle as they turn away..
I think the best way to even start a conversation, is to ask someone, (or everyone for that matter) "hey ___. have you ever had one of those dreams where you realized you were dreaming?"...almost EVERYONE will say yes or they've had one and didnt do anything.
To whoever said "only like 50,000 people can lucid dream", you should study up.
ANYONE can lucid dream, it just takes practice to induce them and absolute LUCK for the first time, unless you've been practicing for so long.

"Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself...."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBlesr8vS2g LMAO this is how we should induct people into lucid dreaming. I bet no one thinks Morpheus is crazy!

Depends on how you come at it.
Via laberges and the science of sleep is one thing.
Via some spiritual, third eye, chakra, OBE is a bit harder for a lot of people to swallow.

      IMO at least.

Yea every time I read something in his books about using chakras for relaxation or whatever I feel like slapping the man. He had a golden opportunity to just present it scientifically, and it is just too newagey for the every day person to buy into. You're going along like, "Wow this sounds great! Um... throat chakra? Don't they use chakras in anime like Naruto? Wow. Hah. I can't believe I wasted so much time reading this book. What a bunch of crazies." I understand that in some cases these things are legitimate and beneficial to achieving lucidity, but they throw noobs off too easily

I think it depends on how mature the people around you are. Of course immature persons tend to make fun of things they do not understand and consider the people that do "crazy" or at least odd. But with age people usually get wiser, so actually the people I talk with about such experiences are rather interested.

So far, I've only told two of my friends. One of them told me he used to actively LD and now he wants to get back into it...the other one looked at me weirdly.

If any one calls me crazy for loving dreaming, they can't be a friend of mine.

Interesting, the fist person i talked about lucid dreaming was my brother. On day he started told me about a scary thing that happened with him frequently during the night, for the description i indentified the problem(???), sleep paralyze(what a lucky guy...). I explained him about that and i tried to introduce lucid dreaming but he wasn´t very receptive about the last...

Normally i don´t talk with other people about ld because the result it´s too predictable, one cause is the question of maturaty, but there is another point, most of the people don´t like to break routines. LD requires some dedication(little but some) and it´s hard to make money with it, two caractheristics not very appelative in nowadays.

Na, I'm usually a pretty well liked person. Anyone who I would have the balls to tell about my dreaming wouldn't make fun of me for it.

You think they give you weird looks when you talk about LDs. That's nothing compared to talking about OBEs. They want to burn me at the stake.

Nightstalkers are a load of bull, but OBE (which have no relation to nightstalkers), is very real. Just depends on if you want to believe it exists.
